Reading is fundamental. Heres the exact quote

Miles had no intention of giving Lee a shot at leading a scoring drive, let alone a come from behind victory

Youre just crawfishing because of your support of the miserable failure of JJ. I'm actually feeling proud of where Lee is at, and glad I supported him these 4 years.

talking about JL's accomplishments is insulting a player....

So you are playing coy. . .fine.

a legit criticism would be if he did it exclusively.
What the frick?

So he has to do it on EVERY play for it to be considered legit?

Are you intentionally stupid?

You were close:

Miles was never going to let Lee get a comeback victory
Wasn't happening. Miles was not going to be proven wrong on the national stage

listen to manning, he says in THE POCKET, it isnt always a possibility to step into a throw. But keep up the false negative memes on the kid. Still doesn't matter.... FACT: He own the second longest streak in LSU history without an INT. FACT: He was invited and is playing in a senior bowl. Next you'll tell me how JJ is mobile and JL gets sacked.

Can you not read along with not being able to remember either? I just said that Manning meant quarterbacks practice throwing on the run & while moving around in the pocket. That's one of the things Drew Brees does best.

What they do not do is practice throwing off of their back foot. Many quarterbacks upon their pupils for doing so. As good as Jay Cutler is, he gets himself in trouble & throws interceptions by throwing off of his back foot.

Yeah Lee played well in the first 8 games. He wasn't outstanding but he was very efficient those games. In those games, the O-Line was able to basically keep him clean because they never faced a team who could get after the passer. That all changed against Alabama & everyone saw what happened there. The only reason Lee didn't throw a pick sooner is due to playing against defenses that lacked the ability to get to after the quarterback.

Jefferson has/had no pocket awareness nor was a consistently good scrambler either. He made plays at times with his legs but he never seemed natural in doing so. Throw in the fact that he can't read a defense & the result is 92 yards of offense in the NCG. So don't tell me how I feel about Jefferson.

I saw the flaws in both Lee & Jefferson. Neither was great during their time with LSU. The fact of the matter is Alabama's defense was the worst possible match up for either quarterback to face. For Lee it was due to the fact he throws passes up for grabs in the face of pressure. Jefferson wasn't going to succeed because he wasn't consistent enough & he just isn't any good.

I don't have any personal interest in either Lee or Jefferson & wish them well moving forward in their life. Unlike you, I don't have a bias towards either quarterback which allows me to give an honest assessment. You on the other hand seem incapable of doing so.

But seriously, I am so glad Lee and Jordan will never play another down for this team.

Do you understand how insulting your statement is to JL. JJ I can understand. His attitude is absolute $hit. I'm convinced that he was a cancer to the team. JL, on the other hand, was a class act and ALWAYS represented himself and LSU very well. He might not have SEC starter ability but he was definately a servicable "back-up" QB. Without him, not sure if we go 9-0 this year. I appreciate Lee for sticking around when he should have left.

Put Lee in Houston type offense (and lower tier conference) and I bet he lights it up. And make no mistake that Lee coming out of HS could have definately gone to a Houston or TCU...without question. No SEC defenses and his stats look great. He would now (probably) be poitioned as a late round "take" in the NFL draft. He gets to the NFL and they realize that he can't handle heavy pressure. Yep...Les screwed that kid.

This team had one QB that waits to long to decide to throw and gets sacked because he holds the ball after no one is open He makes a few plays because he is willing to stay in the pocket even under a rush. His best characteristic is his ability to run when a play breaks down. The other can make all the throws and has a very quick release and is very accurate. His fear of getting hit makes him bail out the play under any rush even before the receivers have run the routes.Sometimes he just throws it into coverage. His best characteristic is his ability to hit receivers in stride when the ground game forces the safeties up and the offensive line gives him time.

The greatness of Crowton made both of them irredeemably bad. Anyone who says differently (including a belief that JL was the second coming of Joe Montana earlier this year) has missed the last four years.

Dont know if you watched the NCG, but it seemed that crowton was back. So that shows that another factor (CLM) was making alot of those calls the last four years.

Quit being obtuse. You are not the smartest guy on the site even though you try to be.

Now, explain where Robb said "knew..." in the link provided?

I feel sorry for both JL. JL was clearly mistreated by Miles in every possible way.

I think the game that best sums up the JJ/JL thing was the Tennessee game last. JJ starts off great with the long TD run, then settles down to a miserable 3-10 for 30 yards with 2 pics. JL comes in to save the day - goes 16-23-145 and gets us into position to win the game - only to have Miles put JJ back in - clock mismanagement - we luckily get an extra play after regulation ends in a loss and we use the extra play to sneak away with a victory. We somehow won in spite of Les and JJ. That is the legacy of the last 4 years.
