Most career wins in LSU history. Best of luck to him in his next chapter.

Damn, that's sooner than I would have thought.

I don't remember if he graduated or if he could come back as the undergrad assistant.

My twin stepsons Braydyn and Jaxxon already have their first appointment booked.

You should sign them up with Chris Reid. Teach them how to wait for a walk.

He should be proud of what he’s done. He had an awesome career here.

That was quick. I don't know why he didn't give it a few more years. But, I suppose he was just ready to make the move.

The minors are a grind and I'm guessing he didn't see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Yea not very many people get to hang up the cleats willingly. Most of us get told we’re not good enough and it’s time to get a real job.

I hate it for Jared but he got to play a lot longer than most.

You joke but I’d be surprised if Chris wasn’t an extremely good youth hitting coach.

Chris knew every in and out of hitting he just wasn’t athletic enough to be a high level hitter.

The guys who had to think their way through the game are much better coaches than the guys it came natural to.

Reminds me of a great line from Moneyball: "We're all told at some point in time that we can no longer play the children's game, we just don't...we don't know when that's gonna be. Some of us are told at eighteen, some of us are told at forty, but we're all told."
