The sound the crowd made when he made contact says it all. If he truly has learned to hit the curve, and not be fooled by the changeup, he'll be a holy terror next season.

He’s gonna be a stud. Can’t wait to see the second year jump.

He had a slow start when he first got up there, which could be attributable to lack of consistent game at bats for a while leading up to it. But he's come on a bit toward the end of the Cape season.

Man, our players must hate it when they have to leave the Box and play on the little league looking fields and facilities.

What a crazy step down.

Lmao at stupid a$$ punks that know nothing about sports. This is the Cape Cod Summer League. The most recognizable summer league over the last 50 years or more. It’s by invite only. But you are cool with your comment.

And it’s played on high school fields.

I saw earlier that his K-rate was pretty bad, good to hear that he has done better, lately. Do you know if he played mostly 1st base?

It looks like he’s played 81 innings in the field, at least some of that has been at catcher, but I think it’s mostly first base. He’s played 21 games including today, so over half have been at DH.

Personally, I think it was just a plate approach issue. Jay's approach is not easy for a young hitter. You can get caught taking good pitches and swinging at bad ones, especially with high level pitching and pitch calling. Then, you get in your own head. I think you'll see alot of strides from Jones and Kling, especially, bc they have the tools.

LMAO at assholes who make assumptions about someone’s sports knowledge tying in something unrelated to their comment.

Let me help you out. I was commenting on the FACILITIES of the CCL not the league’s reputation or players desire (overall) to play in it.

What does

have to do with wether their facilities are on par with the Box? I’ve said the same basic thing about A ball facilities and training staffs.

It’s not like players choose not to go pro over A ball facilities but there are a lot of college facilities that are better than the farm systems.

Now take your comment, spread some butter on it, and kindly shove it up your backside.
