He signed with Gordon at the beginning of the season. Probably fulfilling his NIL requirements.

I don't see how he did near enough to warrant declaring early. I liked it better when early defectors were only the best of the best.

Jack Bech tweeted "never quit fighting" after the SECCG and everyone thought it meant he was coming back. Social Media is not a reliable gauge.

I’d really like to see him return, but I would assume his tweet has more to do with meeting certain requirements to get his NIL money more than a comeback hint

He's probably not coming back but he's the most important player to bring back. His stock is enough to be a fairly high draft pick. He might not be a 1st but he'll be drafted high enough. He's probably not coming back so LSU better find some help in the portal since they're not doing a good job there recruiting DT from HS either.
He might see Smith as an opportunity to slip himself into the first. Might be wishful thinking but he, mason, wingo would wreck shite next year. Mason should make everyone on DL better. I doubt he or BJ come back but it would be nice. Both probably would be biggest holes to fill on the team since LSU also doesn't really have any known good pass rushers on the roster right now to replace BJ.

Who knows what that means. But with Roy being a U-High kid I can tell you Gordon has been his benefactor LONG before he enrolled at LSU and NIL became "legal". Point being, if there is one kid on the team Gordon is very familiar with it is Roy and his family.
