BYU was named to the Joe Moore midseason honor roll. Their center is a Rimington semi finalist, their left tackle is an Outland semi finalist, and has graded out as the 2nd best LT in college football by PFF.

Lol, they had 3 OL drafted within the first hundred picks or so & a 4th UDFA has been active for the Bears.

That has never happened in the modern draft era at LSU.

LSU had 4 OL drafted in the last 5 drafts combined lol.

All facts

This OL, outside of Ingram, is trash

This is not a new problem. This is a problem that began in 2018. We are just seeing the results of it now.

Replacing 84 starts on the OL without having an offseason, oh yea wow, bad line. Shocking

OL seems to be more of a Jimmys and Joes issue. Technique is a problem too, but we don't consistently recruit top talent. Cregg needs to prove he can bring better talent in or O needs to cut ties. The 2021 class is thin at OL again and this can't continue.

Point is the lack of depth created. You know this.

For as lackluster as this line has shown, next year will be that much worse because they aren't getting any game experience either.

Let me guess, OP was a member of the fire Dave Aranda set last year?

Don’t know who will be back so it’s hard to make that assumption

A regular offseason with practice reps & conditioning will help a lot

The talent isn’t bare. Just a bunch of guys came in over weight. And a big part of the group are true freshmen.

why doesn’t every school just stock up with Mormon OL players?

How many do you think there are?

And this is a real thing. They go on a two-year mission and then redshirt. It gives them 3 extra years to develop.

My only hope out of the guys we don’t see are the three freshmen and Bradford

That’s four guys for next year.

I disagree that the talent isn’t bare. They have bodies, but I’m not sure how good they are — whether that comes to lack of development is a different discussion

I almost want to sign just Leigh and Dellinger then take one of two grad transfers as stop gaps. Because next year’s line is looking just about the same as this one.

Did Les Miles turn Odell into a first year NFL starter too? Talent is talent

Again, not sure why you’d attribute this to Craig. We had a very, very talented team last year. I get that your “thing” is to be an unreasonable idiot who has an autistic lack of contextual understanding, but those guys would’ve been in the NFL if I coached them in 2019 too

Both were recruited by his predecessor.

As I stated last night, I don't think their is an adjective in the English language that describes how bad our O-line is!

LSU should lure Kevin Mawae away from Herm Edwards at AZ State or is Andrew Whitworth hangs it up ask him if he wants to get into coaching. You can’t tell me that guy wouldn’t be a great coach after playing elite LT for 15 years in the NFL and his name alone would get recruits to commit.

So it’s not good coaching when they do good

Just had coaching when things are bad

Is that how it works?

I think everyone agrees the OL last year did not even deserve to be in the conversation for best OL much less win the award. That award should have been given to Joe Burrow’s legs and ability to get the ball out in 2 seconds. Even so last years OL was light years ahead of this one. Damien Lewis made Deculus look serviceable, Saahdiq looked like Willie Roaf compared to Rosenthal and Cushenberry was the glue that held it all together. It’s comical how often Liam Shanahan gets absolutely blown up off the snap. Ed Ingram is really the only SEC caliber OL we have on the team.
