James Cregg needs to be fired and replaced with Eric Mateos

Cregg is a bad recruiter, a bad developer, and an overall bad coach.
Mateos was a GA at Arkansas then GA at LSU that Orgeron promoted to TE coach when he was interim in 2016. He then moved on to OL coach at Texas State and has been OL coach at BYU the last 2 seasons.
Have you seen BYU play this year? They are physical, mean, and nasty, especially up front.
This is a slam dunk move.

Our line has looked like shite since he got here. Burrow was running for his life all last season but he made them look good because he excels when he’s rolling out. Dude should not be our OL coach

Lloyd Cushenberry absolutely developed under Cregg. Damian Lewis was a good player when he got here from JUCO. A good find.

BYU has always been mean and nasty, we've played them before, they actually have always had a reputation for extra aggressive technique. I also believe many of their players are 4 years older than everyone else if they're Mormons.

Have you really broken down film of BYU Oline, or are you making a generalized statement simply because they score a lot of points (like us last year under the same regime)?

We don't have quality on the O line. Recruiting studs all along the line has given way to Ivy League transfers.

I thought mateos stepped in nicely when he was promoted in 2016 after the Miles firing. But LSU needs to go get a proven college coach.
