Did Fournette or Chark play defense?

RIP #UNO
Really wanted him to stay #1. I know #7 is a legacy. But he was building his own as UNO that he wouldn't have to share with anyone. But I guess #7 is kinda a fraternity that he'll have with those guys forever. Still would rather UNO tho

I figured as much. It makes sense bc he's our best playmaker that we have returning. And like the poster below you said, I think it'll be Stingley's to lose for next year.

Absolutely warrented. Stingley will bring it home next year but Jamar deserves it more than anyone after that season. He embellished the traits of 7:
Play maker.
Play maker.

Remember when they gave Giles 7?
Posted on 3/5/20 at 5:22 pm to PensaTigers
I think they really gave it to JaMarr because offensive production is just easier to replicate than defensive. Especially with Fulton gone, it is unlikely Stingley will put up the kind of stats he did last year as people probably will just avoid throwing his way. On the other hand, JaMarr obviously will be missing Burrow (and Jets to take attention away) but he could still easily have a 1000 yd seasonm

Do people realize you can have a #7 on offense and defense?

A lockdown corner is one of the most valuable positions you can have on a football field.

Can you read? I never said Stingley wasnt valuable. His value for the team next year will be almost unmatched. However, I dont see teams throwing his way as much when there will be a first time starter opposite of him unlike this season where he was the first time starter. Therefore, I dont see him getting as many picks as he did last season for the simple fact that teams will try harder to avoid him. JaMarr on the other hand has a better chance to duplicate his success because on offense you control where the ball goes.
I think the coaches looked at Delpit this season and took note of the fact that is hard for defensive players (especially DBs) to duplicate their success from a season before (Ryan Clark even alluded to this on the AFR podcast) and decided to go with Chase foe the tine being.

So you should only get 7 if you make flashy plays? That logic is retarded.
PP7 has the most INTs in his 3rd year. You think people weren’t avoiding him?
Delpit would’ve matched success had he wrapped up when trying to tackle.

Not about "flashy plays." But dont act like some people wouldnt say Stingley has a disappointing season next year if he only gets 2 Ints and makes 2nd Team All SEC. Like I said it is hard for DBs to have a better season after having a career year. Could Stingley possibly equal or surpass what he did this statistically this year? Sure it is possible. But what is more likely is he does his job and locks down 1 side of the field while the opposite corner gets more interceptions due to more opportunities.

I absolutely hate this tradition. Why not be the greatest no.1 LSU has ever had and let every no.1 Jersey from here on out be immediately associated with your name? Why follow in the footsteps?

I actually much prefer Chase as #1.
I think I also prefer #7 to be a defensive back tradition..
Just my opinions though.
