Meh. He should be promoting the positive, not creating a negative. Congrats to Giles imho

I feel the same way. He hasn't earned it IMO. But at the end of the day this is voted on by the players I assume so we don't really have a say.

Exactly, and all of those players calling out Kary Vincent last week for that fake nickname or whatever was not a good look either. Keep that shite in house!

Doesn't matter. I would think Jamal has a better idea of what goes on than us.

I've been saying for a while white should wear #7. Giles hasn't proven shite.

It's more of "thing" to me than the #18 as Bert Jones has for ever consecrated the number 7

I wish you idiots would shut up about this. Especially, don't post negative shite on his twitter, that's childish. Giles knows what it means to have the number 7, and he is ready to make a statement this season. He's a damn good ballplayer too. I'm excited to see him on the field for the tigers next season in number 7.

I like it. Puts the pressure on. #7 means a great deal here, kid. Go earn it.

why doesn't it matter? If Giles is seen as a leader and is respected by his teammates, so be it. That speaks volumes for the type of player and guy he is.

You really think he has never met Giles?

You don't let a player transfer in and get the #7

between preparing for the NFL combine and playing in New York i doubt he's had much time around the program since Giles got here in May. He's likely known Devin White since he started taking visits to LSU in high school

Dude might be the hardest working kid on the team.

We as fans don’t have a clue. That’s why we don’t get a say so.

Btw....there’s only 1 Biletnikoff finalist on the team. Hint, it’s #7
