That's all anybody says when they describe RR. One good game doesn't define a player. There were more games he got beat and didn't look like the corner in the A&M game. I'm not saying he isn't good but he's not a god like LSU fans make him out to be

Regarding the RR vs Collins debate, both players showed flashes and both had struggles. Collins was burned early and often when he first started before being dropped on the depth chart. He turned it around last season. No coaching blunders, no conspiracy theories, the guy manned up and stepped up his game.

As for the combine, his straight line speed looks good. Hopefully he does well in the cone drills. Speed is good, but you have to have agility and sometimes the tall guys are more stiff in the hips and don't change direction as well. I'm happy for him though. He's going to get paid well with his combine results moving him up.

I agree, I think Collins has some upside. He can get better in coverage and with the tools he already has can be a solid corner in the league

Jalen was given letter generated by LSU saying stay in school. Not NFL! That is the fact! Potential first round draft pick isn't good enough to start at LSU ahead of 5'10 White and 160# Robinson? How can the ineptitude of Raymond and Miles be any clearer?

Collins was a good player for us. He def was one if not the fastest player on defense. At least of the guys getting pt. If he goes in the first, just be happy for him. The draft is a gamble. He wouldn't be the first and won't be the last guy that may not live up to where he was drafted.

I'd also like to point out he's a better player than RR. He didn't get kicked off the team and screw over his teammates. Give me that guy.

They measure you barefoot and compressed at the combine, so pretty much everybody is an inch shorter than advertised.

I don't think he really had much to gain by coming back next year. He was probably going to get the same amount of playing time regardless, because LSU has like 19 corners that could all reliably start. It's working out for him though.

This is the same thing I've said plenty of times. In addition to that, I read a couple weeks ago, that Mills is a top 3 safety prospect next year.

Yeah it's pretty bad. He was highly billed and seemed to "figure it out" that game. He never played that well again. Collins was much more consistent and a more complete defender.

It's mostly people that don't actually watch games they just get on TD and see that RR shut down Mike Evans once and they run with it.

Yep..and our front 7 should get just as much credit in shutting down Evans as RR gets.

Manziel was 16/41 in that game, and a lot of it had to do with how our DL played against him. They got after him, contained him to the pocket, etc.

That's true of most hype. People who protested Harry Potter books mostly had not read those books. In retrospect, those protests look silly.

RR was never picked on since the moment he stepped on the field. He was beat a few times but he seems to always be invisible on the field like richard sherman was this year. Truth is White and Collins get targeted more RR. Everyone makes a big deal out RR shutting down eveans because they constitently tried to throw the ball to evans a failed horribly.

Or maybe White and Robinson were that good and you don't know football. Everyone and their brother has said that Collins uses athleticism over instinct. Maybe Collins left because he knew that White has one spot on lock down and Toliver may very well take the other. Maybe Robinson gets his act together and he has already beaten Collins out once.

Please explain how Miles and Raymond have been incompetent when it comes to our DB's?

I still don't buy it. Very few NFL GMs are stupid enough to focus exclusively on measurables. Jalen Collins' production on the field simply does not equate to a high second round pick.

There isn't a GM in the nfl that hasn't blown a pick on someone with great measurables. Happens all the time.

He measuered 1/2" shorter than advertised. He measured 6' 1 and 4/10's" or just shy of 6'1 1/2"
