Or any.
La Tech fans almost always have LSU as their #2 (or, heck, sometimes #1) team - ditto for the FCS schools, particularly McNeese and Northwestern St. It is also, to a certain degree true for UL-M, but not as much.
Tulane and UL-L fans - LSU is, by and large, dead to them.

The overwhelming majority of LSU fans feel some sort of arrogance even though most of them did not attend the university.
Some of you are the same fans who wanted to fire Les Miles two years ago.
You often feel insecure and talk down on a program from the sun belt who is expereiencing the first success in school history.
LSU averaged 4 wins per year from 1990-1995. I remember people going nuts beating michigan state in the Independence bowl.
People need to grow up, and appreciate another team from the state who just had their best season of all time.

(quote]grew up in the Acadiana "area" and I know plenty of ULL fans and a large percentage despise LSU. I've dealt with it first hand for many years and it is NOT a new phenomena. The USL/ULL hate for LSU exist and it is NOT uncommon or only a few. It's widespread and anyone who tells you different is full of shite.[/quote]
You're the one who is full of it. Don't understand the raving insecurity of some of you LSU fans. I am a USL alum and have been an LSU fan all my life. Peddle you crap elsewhere. I cheer for all schools Louisiana

You need to be more sensitive about how you comment on other people's Alma Mater. I went to USL (before the name change) and got a great education and had one of the best 4 years of my life. I then attended LSU Medical School and received the same quality of education. I pull for ULL except for when they play LSU. I am grateful for the undergraduate experience I received there and resent any derogatory terms used to refer to it as much as I resent LSU being represented in similar fashion . Both are great institutions in their own right and are great examples of what makes our State so special and unique.

LSU is playing for their third crystal ball in 8 years. The Cajuns are pissing their pants with a 4 loss season and squeaker of a win in the toilet bowl.
Kinda sums up the pecking order of these programs nicely. Now frick off and die.

I was never a fan of Jake Delhomme anyway. As far as ULL fans, I'm happy for them but most of them hate LSU. It's just jealously. They also call themselves the Univeristy of Louisiana, no you are ULL just like ULM. Stop being delusional and thinking you are more than a second tier college in Louisiana.

Insecurity?
As manifested in what way?
Is the man who swats a mosquito... insecure?
The man who opens an umbrella in the rain...insecure?
The man who steps over a pile of shite..insecure?
ULL demands negative attention.
ULL's fanbase brings it on themselves.
I actually used to be happy for USL fans when they won. Hell, I went to USL games when I was younger (from St.Mary Parish). Something happened to that fanbase when they underwent the name change. A serious identity crisis emerged and most Cajun fans I have encountered carry around a personal vendetta against LSU based on some ridiculous notion that LSU has deprived them of their true greatness.
It would be much easier to be happy for ULL if their fanbase made it possible.
YOU cheer for all schools in Louisiana because YOU haven't dealt with a fanbase like ULL's.
You are either in complete denial or a liar if you are unwilling to acknowledge that much of the ULL fanbase harbors ill will towards LSU.

This. And I'll bet you these guys are not so quick to lecture ULL fans who routinely attack and pull against LSU.

Of all of Louisiana's major cities, Lafayette is the most anti-LSU. With that said, the LSU fans there more than make up any lost support.

No, I think he's talking about SLI fans. Do you remember?

I seriously doubt that the ULL fans are in mass hating on LSU. Exactly where are all of you running into these ULL fans with a big chip on their shoulder??? I'm sure there are a few just like there are a few holier than thou LSU fans that will never support any smaller Louisiana school. I have lived in Acadiana all my life and have not seen the LSU hatred that is being talked about. Since the name change there has been a big push in the local area to boost support for ULL but why is that a problem? are there not efforts to boost LSU support and draw as many students and fans into the school as possible for the betterment of the school?

Oh, I'll be happy to give you just a few examples.
First, I have otherwise friends and acquaintances who've hated on LSU to my face for years and delighted telling me so when LSU was in the "dark days." They don't mouth off so much anymore, but the hatred is still there, waiting for us to stumble. I can see it in their faces when they try to feign a half-arse compliment about how good LSU is now.
I also know of friends and family who went to ULL football games where like others they got dirty looks and sometimes jeered for wearing LSU gear. And when the announcer broadcast an LSU loss, hundreds if not thousands of fans (the few they could get in there) cheered. I was there many years ago and heard this for myself. They also booed at another game when an LSU win was announced.
I know of a ULL homer Louisiana sportwriter who openly and bitterly stated in an article that he was not pulling for LSU in the 2003 title game for all the lame excuses given by other posters in this thread.
There was a recent article in the ULL student paper by a writer who stated one could be both a fan of LSU and ULL. He got overwhelmed with perhaps hundreds of vicious replies stating that was impossible, and if you like ULL, you cannot like LSU.
There was a thread here, I believe it was during last baseball season, where a link was given to a ULL message board and the hate for LSU was everywhere.
I guarantee you if I think about it more I could find you many more examples I personally know of. The hatred is real, decades old, cuts across generational lines, and encompasses the vast majority of ULL sports fans.
I will not pull for any team, particularly a Louisiana team, whose fans hate my beloved Tigers so much. Never. Ever.
