Harris has thrown with more accuracy down the field(>25yds). Now Harris has had great pass protection to start the season compared to JJ. JJ is still developing and will get there, if his OL improves.

miami needs that type of playcalling to win their games right now.

they didn't do anything other than basic plays. i think 1 reverse

they are a running team who uses a lot of play action and will go to shotgun formations (and run/pass out of it)

UM is running more vanilla offense than LSU is

Harris is a much better passer than Jefferson! Harris has much more control and touch on his passes. All Jefferson can Throw is line drive bullets down the field with no trajectory on it

I think JH is more developed right now than JJ. Both I think can be very good.

Harris is more patient in the pocket, goes to alternate receivers. JJ is still developing in this respect and either takes off running or dumps the ball off too quickly. He has more time than he believes.

Iagree. Harris it appears is always looking down field, whereas JJ seems to look downfield then sprint out and try to turn the corner.

They were both 4 stars on rivals. Scout's rankings suck and nobody uses them.

spot. on.
It's not all the O-line. Sometimes JJ needs to recognise where the pocket is and slide with the pocket or step up in the pocket. He always seems to flow back & to the outside and right into the speed rush coming from around the pocket. I noticed on some passing plays he could have stepped up in the pocket or slid to his left with the pocket and made his throw.

I am watching the game on ESPNU right now and Harris is skinny as hell and has no pass rush in his face. I willing to bet that Harris 180 lbs at best and his arm strength is not nearly as good as Jefferson's!

All of you are missing the obvious conclusion to this discussion...

JAKE LOCKER >>> Harris or Jefferson or Pryor or Tebow.

Not even close.

Well the only good game JJ has had was against GT in the peach Bowl so I guess that means JJ is overrated too.

I would say that right now JH>JJ...I haven't seen Jacory throw with a great deal of pace, but he really hasn't had to. Someone said it already, the kid can put it on a dime from 50 yards...his accuracy amazes me. He also has great composure, and really looks extremely comfortable in the pocket. Granted, UM's O-line is playing well! JJ will get better, but JH is > JJ at the present.

Why are we comparing Jacory Harris to Jordan Jefferson in the first place?

it is quite odd that a comparison thread is brought about for two "athletic" qbs. I didn't see any who would u take Kellen Moore (boise st qb) vs Jarrett Lee threads last year or maybe i missed them. To actually comment Jacory Harris looks better than Jefferson because he looks like he is playing in a real pro style offense vice crowton it is a diverse offense that in my opinion would not be a strength for a true pro style qb.
