You can expect it, but with Ramos its a 50/50 chance. He is horrible.

He's got to be our best option or he wouldn't be out there correct? Can Burrell or Chadwick kick field goals??

It wasn’t a miserable game; you’re a miserable fan. They beat an average team 23-7, and they were up 20-0 when the game was over except on the clock.

Running game isn’t a threat, so you drop 8 and nothing gets open.

But that isn’t what was happening, was it? They were getting a safety in the box on running plays.

That's what I hope to see from now on with most fourth-and-goal situations. 3 is always better than 0.

He's not perfect, but I've followed LSU football since the early days and have seen Roy Hurd, Juan Betanzos, Ron Lewis, Wade Richey, Jake Gonsolin and other really rotten placekickers. Ramos is generally reliable.

Oh, I forgot Matt Huerkamp

I am very confident in the defense playing well and keeping us in ball games. However, at some point there is going to be an offense that is going to move the ball and score on our defense. That is just the nature of the game now, and right now our offense is unable to connect on the big play, we have to drive down the field and when you constantly rely on that it leads to mistakes which kill the drive.

Our offensive line not being able to communicate/pass off blocks could be passed off to Moore getting hurt but that doesn't explain how even on gap scheme runs the offense was getting blown back. Our WR rotation needs improvement.

- Brown, Hilton, and Nic Anderson should be your outside receivers.
- Zavion and Aaron Anderson should be your slots. Let them rotate.
- When Healthy Green plays in the slot to be the big physical body. Otherwise when a big body is wanted in the slot put Nic Anderson there. He run all the same routes.

Putting Zavion outside is a mistake and it leads to a lot of predictable offensive play calls. Fix it, we are trying to be too cute in getting all these players the ball. Put together the rotation and let them get the ball when its natural not by trying to manufacture it, leads to predictable play calling and gadget plays.

Brown and Aaron Anderson are the two best receivers right now let them get the majority of the reps. Hilton had the best camp but yet hes not even playing on the outside because we want to put a slot receiver on the field because he can be used as a running back and receiver. use him in those spots but don't take away Hilton from lining up on the outside. Utilize the skill sets and call plays for Nuss to work through reads to deliver the ball to the open guy.

That’s why losing Green is massive. We still still suck in the redzone and he was our best weapon. Hopefully we get him back soon

Yep. Sloan's play calling in the red zone is not good.

Hard to really judge much given the opponent. It would be weird if we didn't have a fairly vanilla gameplan. You don't want to give away anything for future opponents if you don't have to.

THEY dont want to hear this, they like to single out one guy, Sloan. It's easy and lazy to blame 1 guy. I played ball and OC's, the HC and the whole staff have meeting to decide a gameplan on offense and defense. BK could have made a lot of the decisions for reasons you mentioned, don't show your whole hand. Tech was never going to win so why not. What's disgusting is how they have ganged up on Chester too. They act like BK and Davis are stupid. THEY know better you see.

A miserable game would have been sitting through Grambling driving on us in the opening quarter or Nicholls running it down our throat all night while our record sits at 0-1

We’re 2-0 and dominated Tech all night other than what the score showed, be happy!

I think people are overreacting about everything other than the oline. The rest of the offense has great potential and I believe just had a rough game. The oline is suspect.

So you must not have watched the game or are confusing it with another one. Because outside of the defense, that was a sloppy, lifeless and painful of a game to watch against a team we were a 38 point favorite against.

I feel like we used to say this all the time and when the SEC slate started, the offense/ play calling still looked the same. Something tells me that this is just going to be the offense regardless. They are just going to have to start executing the plays that are called and stop killing drives with stupid penalties every other drive.

Running game scheme sucks.
I thought Alex Atkins (He was fired at Florida State) was supposed to fix all that.

I watched it, just as I’ve watched games for almost 60 years. That’s enough time to expect a down performance against an unexciting matchup the week after winning a big game.

Tech is a decent team; they are not a cupcake. The 38 point line was unrealistic. Maybe if we had played them in game two, after playing Southeastern in game one, we would have shown up better.

Look man, I'm not going to sit here and tell you the sky is falling after a game like that.

Tech is certainly more formidable than someone like Nicholls, but honestly that isn't a very good team. The only reason they made a bowl last year was because Marshall didn't have a football team. They barely beat SELU, 24-0, two weeks ago.

We paid them $1.6M just so we can add a W to our schedule.

I don't expect much in these games, and I can understand starting the game flat. But what I do expect, at the very least, is not having to play our starters late into the 4th in a game like this because of our play and our mistakes. Not due to the play of the other team.

Yes, a win is a win, but I think it is okay to be critical of the players and coaches based on what we saw. If they play that way again this weekend, I think it becomes a much more serious discussion.

Poor Playcalling
No oline push
QB that is no run threat
Caden is great but not a power back, and Kaleb seems to have trouble finding a hole.
Outside of green no big body receiver (I hope Nic Anderson can develop into that guy)

Lotta of issues in the short yardage game.

I agree, Bama, OSU, Oregon, or Georgia would have beat La Tech by 40. BK spent a lot of money for this team, and they still don't look like a team capable of winning it all. I have to place blame at his doorstep.

I told the wife after the Clemson win the next game would tell the tale as to whether or not we are a championship team. It's difficult to compare to 2019 but THAT was a true championship team. That team never played down to their competition. I hope this team can turn it around and just play consistent

Last week, if we go for it and get it instead of kicking it, we are tied at the half. People were furious because we went, DIDN'T get it, and scored nothing. This week, we dial it back and take the points, and people are pissed we did that too.

People who watch sports passionately have violently opposing opinions that often conflict with an opinion that others express. This isn’t news.
