The 92 season will always have a special place in my heart. We sucked so bad that the stadium was pretty much a "select your seat" venue by the last game. I had a FINE GF in HS and we both wanted to see how far we could get in TS.

We brought several blankets to a game and covered up on a cold night and had a blast. I'll stop sharing there.

Gotta make the best out of a train wreck.

The Hallman years, 1991-1994 (especially 1992) were the epitome of disaster at LSU since I've been a fan. This season is fast becoming comparable to those in my humble opinion.

Bo has to go. But who are they going to get to replace him?

It's not "fast becoming". That's exactly what it is. I remember those days well as I didn't miss hardly any games. I got free tickets in stadium suites, etc, those years as I was in HS.

I would go to watch other team's players bc I knew they were future NFL players. You knew LSU didn't have a chance in hell and they would likely give up 50 points a game.

At this point, 50 points a game is just a given. Accept it and move on.

Yep. My parents have some unfortunate pics of me with a ‘Canes hat on....

I am ashamed..... it was a confusing and troubled time in my life.

It is the worst team probably ever. Remember that the head coach is the worst coach in Ole Miss history. Coincidence? I doubt it. Orgeron has made his last bad hire.

Curley Hallman?

quote:

His overall record was 16–28; his winning percentage of . 364 is the worst for a non-interim coach in school history. To date, Hallman is the only LSU coach since the formation of the SEC to have never tallied a winning record or coached in a bowl game.

Maybe pump the breaks and take into consideration that this is 2020 (stars going in draft, opting out, COVID).

That is a certain type of fan though. It's the cheesy, "I'm gonna follow the front runner" type of fan. Basically, that same type of person is now wearing Bama gear. When Saban retires, it'll most likely be all Clemson next.

You must have missed the Hallman years - those were the worst I've ever sat through.

The 90s were a bad decade of LSU football with a bright spot here and there

At least some of the Hallman teams had a spirit of competing

LSU finished 1992 with a 2-9 record, the second worst record in Division 1. The only team worse that year was Navy, who was 0-11.

1992 Hallman fiasco

I've been following LSU football since 1964... What is puzzling to me is that this team has talent on the roster, but their playing is bi-polar... you see some promise one week then garbage the next.

The biggest difference between Hallman's teams and this one is the talent on the roster. Hallman had none whatsoever... So when they looked like garbage, you kinda expected that...

Given what our talent level is on our roster, its almost shocking what we see on the field...

1999 used to be the year that stood out, though the offense was still decent.

wrong. offense was terrible in 1999 when retardo promoted WR coach Bob Mconnell to OC.
