Yeah this issue comes up a lot over the years. I don’t think people were wrong for having doubts earlier based on performance.
The ones who were rude af about it should mea culpa that shite though.

This next game is gonna be telling from a passing standpoint. And making quick reads
This will be his biggest test. Bama will spy on him, so they're going to force him to try to stay on the pocket.
He's looked great the last two, hope that's a trend that continues.

Yeah, this has zero potential to come back to bite you.

The Jenkins pass wasn’t a vision issue. Jenkins was wide open but Thr pass was late and floated a bit, that being said, the DBs we’re doing everything they could to get to Jenkins, which is why they had no chance of turning around and making a play on the ball.
Did you not see the part where Jenkins was open by about 10 yards and JD waited until he had 2 guys on him to throw the ball, only to do so about 5 yards short?
It was absolutely a vision issue. Jenkins was wide open for most of that play and he wouldn’t throw it to him until the last second when he was covered.
SEC QB’s should make that throw 10/10 times.

We are very happy Daniels is playing well. Our criticisms of him were made at a time when they were warranted. We can be happy for him and our team while not apologizing for realizing he had not performed well. There is no conflict between the two.

I am so glad most of the guys who are commenting aren't drinking the Koolaide.
He played well against Florida and Ole miss.
Every QB has played well against Florida
Tulsa QB, Kentucky QB, and Auburn QB played well against Ole Miss
Jezzz , what a stupid post clueless post

Lay off.
The guy has played well in 2 of his six games against true D1 competition.
You wanna cling to his nutsack, be my guest.
Some of us need to see him do it consistently over a longer stretch of games.

When he was playing badly... HE WAS PLAYING BADLY
When is playing well...HE IS PLAYING WELL.
It is what is is, no need for anyone to apologise
Kudos to him for being coachable and improving as he has,
Hope he continues to improve.

The only obvious answer is I miss Joe Burrow

This speaks so much more about some of the posters' mindsets on this board than it does our QB.
Thank you, JD, for indirectly shedding light on the shortcomings of some as you make football look easy and our LSU Tigers look great.

He’s playing far better than I thought he could.
My problem wasn’t necessarily about people not thinking he was any good, he wasn’t playing well at first. My problem was all the people jerkin it about putting Nuss in as if Nuss had shown us any reason to believe he was any better than Daniels or that somehow they knew better than our coach (who has a damn good track record of winning) who the starting QB should be. It was ridiculous. The idea that the back up QB just “needs his shot” and he will “come out slinging it” is just absurd. It ne we happens. That’s fantasy BS.

He cannot see the field
Yes he can. He just either hasn’t thrown it, or when he has - especially on deeper throws, isn’t as consistent as we’d like.
He can get better - and if he does, coupled with the skillet he already has, it would make him elite.

This is a succinct response...
but for those who don't get it...
Saying JD is the 2nd best QB in LSU History is as inane as labeling him a bust ...

I'll hold off on apologizing until I see how he performs next Saturday.
