1. The LSU defense isn't just good, it's very good. Time on the field has been an issue with all the 3 and outs from poor offensive play.

2. With the addition of a creative offensive coach, LSU would not only roll, it would have crushed every team played this year. Points create pressure. Our opponents have been competitive because our failure to score has reduced pressure.

3. It won't matter who is hired if they tear down what is going good at LSU, at this time. Keeping Aranda is essential.

4. Had Les Miles hired a good/great offensive coach that had complete control of play calling, Miles would be standing on the sideline in Tiger Stadium this weekend.

5. Fan enthusiasm should be sky high this weekend. Let's see if this new energy flows through the team. I think it will.

The defense is alright. They can't get off the field on third down.

Agree with all but #1. The defense has been okay but a putrid Auburn offense did have SIX scoring drives. Granted, all were field goals. Good, not great.

Our safeties/linebackers seem like a liability in coverage. Overall, the defense has been great. We just need the offense to stay on the field and let the defense rest

#4 over and over and over again... had we just gotten a solid OC after firing Cam Cameron after the three game losing streak last season, Miles would be our coach and we would be 4-0.

Defense has been plenty good. Offensive production and subpar Oline play has bee the issue. Health has been part of the Oline troubles but even healthy I'm not confident they can pass protect well enough to contain the defenses we will face in nov.

Regarding #1: Too many blown coverages/open receivers all season so far. Toliver has been a disappointment and teams are throwing his way more and more. Too many missed tackles the last couple of games as well.

#2-5: Totally agree!

I hope I am wrong, but I think there is more to it than that, and most importantly, OL play.

Not really. The punt fest lead to some short fields for them. They weren't moving the ball very well on most of those "drives."

This. I can't recall the last time I've seen so many receivers wide open. It's just not something I'm used to seeing while watching LSU.

This can and hopefully will be corrected though.

If you type it in all caps it MUST be true.

People keep down voting comments like this.

It's like because the offense is so bad, imthe defense is by far better. No doubt.

But this defense struggles on third down to get off the field and they give up some chunks up the middle.

I think we are getting better. Depth with the big nasties will only improve that. The defense is far ahead of the offense. But they aren't some stellar defense..............yet.

Maybe/hopefully getting out in front and having an aggressive style of offense will generate some defensive motivation and stops. I love having a dominant defense. Always have. Always will.

They had nearly 400 yards of offense. We only forced one TO.

Clemson held them to 260 and forced 3 TOs.

As a result, Clemson was able to escape Jordan Hare with the win. We were not.

They ran 75 plays to our 50. When your offense can't control the ball, it allows the other team more chances.

True. They are a great defense as far as giving up scoring. Mississippi State scored twice late after the defense had been on the field most of the night.

Better offense means less snaps against our defense.
