I think it’s fairly obvious that Bianco never had an offer in hand as. Scona was so adamant about. The ropers may have been working their own deal and Scott wanted to have an actual process and you know, interview people.

It’s obvious but none of that matters with the media. Local or national. They have the platform to spout their beliefs and opinions and that’s what we get.
All the local guys have been fed bs. It’s obvious that they don’t know shite but instead of saying look I really don’t know at this point, they just double down and mock fans on message boards lol

Scott has political clout and backing coming from Downtown BR.
Not every AD would be able to walk their own choices out like Scott can because he is impervious to the internal pressures.

Just when I think Ole Miss has their shite together they go and do something ridiculous. I figured ALL of the Bianco smoke was being created by both Bianco and OM. Bianco has plateaued there and Ole Miss is sitting in that Miles-esque purgatory trying to decide whether or not to move on. LSU looked like they could have made OM's decision for them (though I never thought LSU actually wanted Bianco).
But to give Bianco an EXTENSION?!!!! Ole Miss fans have to be furious.(1) Mississippi St. is currently playing in their 2nd CWS, in as many years, under their third year coach; and (2) LSU (OM's other hated rival) didn't take their "problem" off their hands. Col. Black Bear is definitely crying today

That's not 100% true. O'Sullivan was LONG the #1 choice and "internal pressures" above the AD's head shut that down
