it's great to support daniels, but you'd better hope Nuss

can get over his bad decision making, because it's highly probably that he'll have to play more than you want him to.

Daniels is doing a lot of running, and it's commendable that he's giving up his body on crucial plays to make the first or the TD, but as SEC play heats up he's going to get really roughed up. you saw some of that against Moo State.

He can protect himself on a lot of runs, but when he pulls the ball down in crucial situations he has to be committed to get the yardage, which, to his credit, he has shown he is willing to do.

Don't misunderstand me, i'm not rooting for him to get hurt nor am I advocating for Nuss - just facing the reality of the situation.

True, but it is what it is. And I can hope all I want, but it won't change anything.

This is true. I cringe when I see him tuck his head down and bull forward thinking about the Florida's, Arky's and Bama defenses out there waiting for that without a serviceable QB2

While I agree he could get hurt running but are the chances of getting hurt greater getting tackled by dbs downfield or dlinemen in the pocket...point is he is doing what it takes to stay healthy.

Just one more meaningless post trying to boost what’s his name and (not so) subtly undercut Daniels. Including of course the transparent “I’m behind Daniels, don’t you worry”.
Really, give it a rest.

Are QB's supposed to slide head first? Seems a lot more dangerous. And JD is a pro at it

There's no implication of anything like this in the OP. Stop being so sensitive.

Jayden got nicked up last week and even in the Southern game. He's a tough young man, but his continued health is a valid concern. It's not like he has 250 lbs on his frame like Cam Newton or Tim Tebow to absorb repeated blows from SEC defenses.

Daniels has been a P5 starting QB for 3 years. He didn't become a running quarterback two weeks ago. He's never missed a game to injury. Could he get hurt? Sure. But the level of concern from some of our fans has gotten a little ridiculous like it's a foregone conclusion he won't make it through the season.

He missed the USC game his freshman year due to injury. He also got knocked out of a game against Southern Utah last year. ASU also only played 4 games his sophomore year.

It's far from a foregone conclusion. But you don't want him to continue ducking his head and plowing forward for a couple of extra yards every time. Sliding or skipping out of bounds are acceptable options.

Look what a moose Tebow was. He was continually banged up!
Ive been worried about JD physically holding up since the first day I saw him

Nuss is not a very good QB. He’s shown that every time he takes the field. I’m sorry to say it, but it’s true.

Florida and Arky’s defense aren’t as good as you think they are.

Don’t let the Florida and Arkansas name fool you lol

Mississippi States defense is more physical than most of the remaining sec defenses we will face.

He looked like he was avoiding contact vs F. ST and missed out on at least one first down that killed the drive because of it. Happy to see him giving more effort now and I’m sure his team is also. You can bet he heard about it after the first game.
