Well...he just got benched like the rest of the qb's. Season is over.

Competition for next has started.

Myles is the presumed starter. Go back and look at his stats. #ABA

1-2 record as a starter. 3 picks. 11 total TDs to Max’s 10 TDs. No thanks. Give me Max.

Max is the leader in the Clubhouse. 2 starts. 2 fourth Qtr game winning drives.
Like Myles but he could close the deal vs Mizzou.

TJ isn’t touching the field as long as Brennan and Johnson are healthy and in the program. He can look as good as he wants in practice, it doesn’t translate to games.

Agreed. LSU is not in a position to continue to give opportunity after opportunity to a player who lost out in game competition. Yes, TJ can try to practice and improve but in all fairness he is lacking in key areas such as, pocket awareness, accuracy, and leadership. The team simply responds better to Max at QB. To try to go back and give TJ another shot is simply not justified.

Then there is the fact that Garrett Nussmeyer is coming in as well. I really do not see TJ as being nearly as far along as either Johnson or Nussmeyer. Brennan is also coming in January and Walker Howard is coming in the following class. LSU is going to be loaded with taletnted top rated QBs.

only because Brennan was hurt. So don't ever complain about a player opting out being selfish

if York misses a school record FG you'd feel differently?

Max also threw. pick IN THE END ZONE in the 4th Quarter.

Yep clearly his fault 2 running backs got stuffed.

But if this is your view fine, just don't ever say a damn thing about players opting out

It really wont be. And he is the son of a QB, he will understand. That being said, we will still see him next year.

I agree. He looks so much better than what we saw from Brennan and Finley. IMO, there's no QB competition next year, unless we want to risk losing Johnson. For a true freshman, he was incredible!

Max Johnson will be LSU's version of Kelly Bryant. And Nussmeier will be Trevor Lawrence.

What a horrible analogy.

Myles Brennan would be the Kelly Bryant in that scenario.

I disagree. Brennan was lighting the score board up before he got hurt. Looked Burrow-esque.

That said, I think Brennan starts 2021 and is potentially a first round draft pick. That sets the program up for the foreseeable future at the position. You would have back to back first round QBs with some studs waiting their turn. That is how to build a perennial championship team like Clemson and Bama have done.

He has the young receivers around him also whom Myles hasn’t worked with. Should be open competition but it Brennan won’t get the job the he should get enough heads up to transfer. That’s only fair.

I don't give a shite who starts next year. I just want the best player starting. And we are in great shape when it comes to that.

I just don't think that we should use seniority as an ultimate decision. frick that. If MJ outshines MB in spring and fall camp next year, then so sorry Myles. Not that I dislike Myles or think he sucks or anything.
