It's almost as if some of you don't watch the games

We have gone shotgun and tried to throw it around in every single game this year. The line just can't hold that long and the receivers can't get separation. This is not a scheme issue. We attempted 29 passes yesterday and IMO if anything we tried to pass too much. Jeremy Hill had 120 plus yards in 18 carries. We are who we are. There is only so much the coaches can do.

Outside of the RBs the offense just simply is lacking in talent. Poor pass protection and the least talented group of WRs LSU has had in years. And Mett has his own problems that are made worse by this too.

I agree unfortunantly for Miles he is in a damn if he does damned if he don't situation. When we did what we were good at he woudl here the pissing and moaning to throw more. Now when he changes and throws it aroud he hears that we need to run more.
I believe he knows exactly what this teem and can can;t do and who can and can't do it. It looks like shite but it has worked more times than not.
I believe this offense is under a transition period that is have MAJOR growing pains and believe that eventually (hopefully 2 weeks from now) it will come together.

I'll go ahead and say it.
This team is not very talented on the offensive side of the ball, maybe save for the RB position. I feel like we're lucky to have the record we have. Actually, tbh, I don't think we're that talented in the defensive secondary either save for Reid.
Enjoy it while we can.

+1
Am I agreeing w draconian sanctions?
It's also like you guys don't watch other football games and then listen to ESPN's talk about the latest fad.
Johnny football was a Heisman candidate this time yesterday morning and our D made that a whole lot less likely

My biggest problem with the coaching yesterday was actually the 4th quarter drive we had up 14-12 when we moved it down to field running the ball then we started getting cute when we got to first and goal. If we had just kept smashing it we probably go 21-12 right there instead of kicking the field goal and letting them hang around.

IRONY!!!!

how many times do people here need to tell you that the majority of our passes were slants and curls/comebacks???????? for you to get it?? You think teams are not seeing those tendencies??? Did you hear what Griese said during the game about Miles' tendencies???
Where have we tried to use the whole field and throw all the plays i listed in previous posts?????? Where????

All of which gets back to Metts lack of mobility and awareness. We run 2 man routes constantly because we are max protecting. We don't utilize the middle because it takes to much time and on and on. The answer to more time is out there and hopefully they can figure it out.

Damn. Go buy another drum.

Brian Griese spelled it out. watched South Carolina Game several times. Two reciever set is completely predictable and easy to scheme for.
This offense has no imagination. Did you see some of the shite Pease draws up for FLA. We need some creativity.
And how about that Ware Wildcat? laughable at best

I agree that people don't watch the games. People actually think our offense is fine, just poorly executed therefore throwing any player they can find under the bus.
We constantly face 9 man boxes due to our formations and still try and run the ball. When we do throw the ball out of these formations, they are generally low percentage passes.
When we do throw the ball, it's quicks, bubbles, hitches, and slants. Basically, we have no kind of passing game at all. It's awful.
We misuse personnel like no team I've ever seen, and fans turn on and blame those players. Anything to place blame on anyone other than Miles.
Newsflash....When 4 and 5 star players look like they've never played football before, you are recruiting the wrong players for what you want to do, or are too stubborn to put those players in situations that fit their strengths. Meaning you run what you run and that's it.
Just bad offensive football. Predictable and dumb.

The wind really affected throws for both teams

I don't diasagree, the problem is our QB and WRs can't execute.
Miles and co are keeping in simple because they know that's all Mett can handle. If we get too "creative" mor likely Mett makes a bad read and throws a bad pick.
The scheme we are running is designed to limit Metts mistakes because the coaches know he's not good enough to just turn him loose. Hopefully they can come up with something good on 2 weeks but I doubt it.
Just accept that this isn't our year. 10-2 isn't that bad

The offensive line is holding up for the most part. When mett can't get the ball out of his hands to his primary receiver he f*&&kin skizzes out. When mett double pumps I know something bad is about to happen.

This is probably the worst group of WRs we've had at LSU since the 1990s. We have a bunch of short dudes that would have been #3s--at best--on just about every team we've had the last 12-15 years.
And Mett has just not been very good. Whether that's coaching or just a lack of talent, I'm lack of sure. The coaches clearly haven't done a great job this year. No argument there at all. But what's also clear to anybody who's intellectually honest(and not retarded) is that we're just not very talented on offense. Forget recruiting stats and all that nonsense, we're just not. If there is real criticism of Miles and co., it should be for recruiting the wrong guys on offense. But I think they are currently DOI g just about the beat that they can.

Miles's philosophy is overpowering somebody. It's old school. It's Big 10. It's 70's Michigan vs. Northwestern.
I think people who keep defending it by saying it works for Bama don't actually watch THEIR games: they're quite a bit more diversified with deception, screens, draws.

You must not watch LSU or any other teams if you believe coaching and scheme has nothing to do with our offensive woes.
