so he woulda been sacked plenty? fair enough

like jd5?

exactly

a. He has injury problems and wouldn't have lasted like JD

b. JD put up one of the best seasons of an LSU QB ever, including 800+ yards rushing (with 2 games to go), despite the OL problems.

Maybe

Maybe he would have lost to Bama and Ole Miss

This is why these threads are dumb

yeah because he cannot pass

The 2-PT conversion involved a mobile QB rolling out as the primary option.

The fact that he retired from football completely and didn't transfer tells me he doesn't have what it takes

Sad to see but maybe his heart just wasn't in it anymore

Lol that’s not how that works.

Myles Brennan started how many games at QB? 5?

There is a population on this board who somehow has extrapolated GOAT LSU QB based on an extremely limited sample (while ignoring why the sample is so small).

If Brennan didn’t get out of shape after his injury and seemed committed to playing football he might have started this season. The staff saw he wasn’t really committed and didn’t have the skill set they were looking for to run the offense.

When he was told he’d be 3rd string he quit football altogether.

Since we are just projecting and guessing. What do you guys think our record would have been this year if Kelly would have gotten Michael Penix Jr out the portal instead of Daniels? I watched him play a couple times this year and each time I have felt like he would have been a really good QB here with the WRs we have. He throws a really nice deep ball and isn't scared to let it rip. I am grateful for JD and think he has been really good this year. He has a great attitude and never quits. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen Penix play this year.

Looking simply for correlation for these two thoughts

Again the thread is about the possibilities with Myles.

But yet when people say that Brennan possibly isn’t as good as Daniels nor done any better the Brennan lovers don’t want to hear it.

Could Brannan have possibly been better than Daniels? Maybe but the chances of him being worse than what Daniels did this season is much higher than him doing better.

Passing and rushing Daniels has been responsible for 3390 yards and 26 touchdowns. Considering Brennan would not be adding much of any rushing stats he would have had to have a top 5 passing yardage and touchdowns season in the history of the school.

My guess is Myles realized it, and was tired of being lied to

This makes the most sense. BK prevaricated.

I am lost on the need to make comparisons instead of looking at possible wr numbers that may have been.

M. Nabers WR 12 726
K. Boutte WR 10 431
J. Jenkins WR 10 332
B. Thomas Jr.WR 10 306

OK, youve just put yourself on the ignore my posts list

Max Johnson was at A&M when JD transferred here. Another reason he would have never transferred to LSU if Johnson had stayed. A 3 yr starter isnt going to a school with a 2 yr starter already in the QB room

JD's 2022 is in the running for 2nd or 3rd best QB season in LSU history.

Brennan has failed to start, in his entire career, as many tames as JD started just this year.

There was a small amount of hyperbole, but people are losing their minds over a QB who never really showed anything at LSU, assuming he would be great (without ever showing he was even really good).
