Johnson was a better in-game coach but a horrid recruiter. I'd take Jones based simply off of better results. Which isn't exactly an accomplishment since Johnson won an average of 4 SEC games his last 3 years. There is no denying Jones' in-game ineptitude

Darryl seriously Jonny is a very flawed coach. We run no symbolance of an offense, play zero defense and rely on athletisim to rebound. Why?? Because it's not demanded by jones. My buddy basketball team makes a bigger commitment to defense than these guys. The basketball I grew up around, if you didn't defend you didn't play. If you took a 3 without the ball touching the post or both sides of the floor, you sat on the bench. Consequently we were in the quarters and top 28 every year I was in school. Defense and attention to detail was preached from the time we got to school. We had locker inspections twice a week. Every piece of equipment and uniform had to be in exact place and folded a certain way.

We lost by almost 40 points. Johnny Jones and I were students at LSU at the same time. Back then we didn't have to worry about playing really good teams because we took a back seat to no one.

I keep hearing this shite over and over again. What was the problem in the sec tourney against A & M? He had a beast team two years ago with Martin and Mickey along with the supporting staff and he couldn't win the SEC and gets bitchslapped by NC State in the first round of the NCAA. He had the two best big men in the country for two frickin years....what was the excuse then. He had the #1 pick in the draft playing for him last year and was unable to even make the tourney. I couldnt stand Trent Johnson, so no, it isnt race related. I want Nikki Caldwell arse fired. Skin color doesnt matter to me.
I just want to win dude. I have no issue with replacing Jones if the next coach will bring us a championship. Im a fan of LSU basketball, I will support Jones while he is the head coach of LSU if he produces at his current level. If he drops us to Trent Johnson level then he needs to be fired immediately.
