So how much truth was there that BK was planning to retain House until the bowl game? Because if that Tweet and other similar sources have any validity, plus the on-field results the entire season, I'd really have to question BK's team management and judgment.

Admittedly, House was bad and him being fired was appropriate. In addition, the entire defensive staff was weak. Heck, CBK had to bring in an 80 something year old retired coach to right the ship of the DL. I like Coach Jenkins and he did a good job, but that was a sign of desperation. Given all that, who would've been worthy to be elevated to interim DC if CBK had fired House during the season??

Yet that has nothing to do with players looking up to another player. They can still look up to that coach even if he is no longer their coach.
