Wow

He's very limited in ability, doesn't mean he isn't a great guy and solid locker room addition.

Not at all. Coaches get fired and go on to be successful

Are you in the meetings and practices? Y’all think production is really what matters to be a team leader

If you think it was all the players fault, go back and watch the Ole Miss tape. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of missed tackles. But, when you’re constantly calling the same coverage and the DLine is lining up a yard off the ball, that’s a coaching issue

Wingo was a defensive leader and his position coach was forced out supposedly by House. It isn't shocking that he would hold ill will towards him for that.

Sad thing is that Wingo being a leader should have been the bigger person and not let it derail the defense. It wasn't the only reason clearly and was assuredly not the biggest issue, but using your personal beef with the DC to basically kill the harmony on the team would be the opposite of the #18's purpose.

I never really liked House to be fair, and I am glad they let him go, but this defense had major issues at all levels including player attitude and that is a major reason why they were historically bad.

I’m no fan of house but imagine complaining to your head because you’re routinely getting burned and missing tackles

That may be more telling than them not like House.

I know a coach gets fired if they don't produce.

This could be an encouraging sign…maybe our talent level isn’ t that far behind…maybe scheme and motivation had more to do with our issues than talent…
I felt like it was a little of both but maybe talent wasn’t the real issue.

If there’s one thing I’m confident in with Baker, he’s going to get those guys to want to play their best. House just doesn’t seem like a relatable guy

Why? House may do well somewhere else - it just didn’t work out here.

He seemed to do well with a D-oriented head coach @ Kentucky.

Agree with the other posters. CBK made a business decision. He constantly talks about staff evaluation. Wouldn't be surprised if he uses 360 where the players offer feedback as well.

If it was that bad and I am not implying it wasn’t, I am curious to know why and how did it get to that point.

Right, and the product on the field sucked enough that it shouldn’t have. For everyone praising Kelly so much on here for making the move, you do have to wonder why it didn’t happen sooner.

And it’s neither here nor there, but the amount of money these coaches make that is essentially guaranteed is ridiculous. If there is a guarantee on compensation, there needs to be a guarantee on performance. I understand this is market driven, but I think that is largely a function accepted practice.

Not saying you are in the know but I will assume this is fact.

Sounds like the players were insubordinate and may be the reason for the big fall off on the defensive side. Kelly going to have a lot of egg in his face if House ends up having a good defense somewhere else.

Kentucky fans told us that House wasn't the coach we thought he was and that White was actually the mastermind. It reminded me of Gary Crowton and that infamous Oregon poster.

The problem is that House didn't know how to pivot after facing diversity. You can say whatever you want about DL and DB, but LB was his position. How was it also really bad?
