Lol, I remember my first preseason camp. Kid hasn't gone thru a padded practice yet and he's the #2 option. Boutte is an absolute stud and didn't start to shine until the end of the season. A FR all American like Michael Clayton wasn't even a #2 option until midway thru his FR season and we had much less talent at the WR position back then. I hope he's great but preseason hype is nothing more than hype and no way Thomas is the #2 option in Pasadena.

Paraphrasing what Moscona said, but it was basically anyone that he talks to that's been around the team says that Thomas is shining. WR2 may be a little aggressive. But, he did make it sound like the kid was gonna see the field. I'm assuming that's where Stephen is getting this from.

I feel like I've heard this same message about each of the freshmen WR's. I think they are just that good.

Chuck Oliver, a very knowledgeable radio guy in Atlanta who has a very insightful show that centers around SEC football all year long, had a guest today that covers LSU. For the life of me I can’t recall his name. Anyway, the gentleman said this group of freshman receivers, as it stands right now, may be one of the best collection of freshman talent at the receiver position he's seen at this stage of their young careers since he’s been covering LSU the last 15 years. During the interview the name that came up over and over is how impressed he was with Brian Thomas. I don’t know anything about Thomas, but from the sounds of it, was described as a big, tall, lanky young man with a SEC “ready now” type of build. It was very obvious this fellow thought Brian Thomas has a very high ceiling.

Idk about that. He struggled to get separation last year.

Where do you get stuff like this? Koy Moore looked VERY polished last year for a freshman. He has plenty of athleticism, and he is a workaholic.

Moore is getting shite on here because of his stupid BLM crap. That was juvenile, but give the kid a break, after all, he WAS a juvenile.

I bet Moore has a nice NFL career.

The more I think about it, peetz may use Palmer as a Percy harvin type out of the backfield or speed sweeps

Palmer was passed by last year's freshmen. He's being passed right now by this year's freshmen. He's a great athlete but not a great football player, and the only thing Peetz is going to use him for is holding the clipboard.

I feel like he needs to be on punt return. He was able to showcase his speed there, and it's probably his best chance to see the field

Chris Hilton & Brian Thomas should be our version of AJ Brown & DK Metcalf.
Will be impossible to keep these two off the field, just a matter of time.

Boutte said, in his interview, after the first scrimmage, that this group of freshmen receivers were much better prepared to contribute now, than his class of freshmen.
The freshmen may not be ready to start vs UCLA, but it wouldn't surprise me if one started when SEC play begins.

It is very difficult for a true freshman to come in and contribute immediately. Most got by mainly on superior athleticism in high school, but in college have to become good route runners because of how good the DB's are.
Just look back a few years to Chase and last year to Boutee, it took them most of their freshman season to really start producing and they were both highly elite coming out of high school. Wide receivers tend to make a huge jump their second year, so I am looking at Moore to be greatly improved from last year.

He’s been getting rave reviews so far from players and people who have been at practices

I know you want your rummel boy to be WR2 but he just doesn’t have the upside as those frosh WRs

Koy is solid but nothing special.

Moscona is the bane of LSU football radio. The ultimate AND I MEAN ULTIMATE nega-Tiger. Can’t stand that guy.

spoke with someone who got to see an entire practice. Said Nabers has a lot of dog in him. Calling out vets on defense and playing with a lot of fire.

This WR class LSU signed is an all-timer. Hopefully they are all patient and stick around.

I don’t care who is WR2. Wording of this just makes it seem something has been announced. They haven’t even put pads on

Probably insignificant at this point, or any. WR2 will probably change over the course of the year, or even game.

You don’t need pads to beat a DB 1 on 1 and show that you are a special wr

Not like we’re talking about linemen or linebackers Lester

O said the first day he beat our best corners
