Well, you still have to follow through with your donation once he is gone.

The cherry on top is Lipsey calling out Alleva
IMO, that was the real catalyst for change.

Richard Lipsey was one of the founding fathers of TAF. He wields a very big financial stick.

One thing is certain. JA is not out because of the WW suspension (that was FKing's decision). I think it is an accumulation of negative press from a variety of bad decisions/statements. FKing and the BOS are currently hanging their hats on this fundraising event. Getting rid of JA (at this time) will probably boost donations. JA's lack of supervision of WW is probably the straw that broke the camel's back.

I sent they same thing in writing to TAF last year, and got a call from one of the reps telling me they were hearing the very same thing from a lot of donors.

Got the same call and told them the same thing. I even responded to your post 2 weeks ago

But I'll gladly let you take all the credit so long as JA is gone!

Here is a perspective (a theory) based on what has happened:
JA did not want to suspend WW (otherwise, why would FKing feel the need to send that message to JA "directing" him to suspend WW).
JA did not want to suspend Smart (FKing did).
JA worked behind the scenes with the NCAA to get Smart reinstated (against FKing's wishes).
WW meets with JA, NCAA, and "other top officials" (note that FKing was not at this meeting) and is reinstated by JA. I'm guessing that JA told FKing he was reinstating WW regardless.
I think FKing wanted (maybe still does) to fire WW. FKing may have instructed JA to fire WW and he refused. And now JA is gone.
This would not be the first time someone lost their job after refusing to fire someone (Chancellor Michael Martin and President John Lombardi).

While all of that is certainly possible, I personally believe you're over-thinking it. Occam's razor* and shite.....

*Occam's razor (or Ockham's razor) is a principle from philosophy. Suppose there exist two explanations for an occurrence. In this case the one that requires the least speculation is usually better. Another way of saying it is that the more assumptions you have to make, the more unlikely an explanation.
