I didn't say anything about cross country but it doesn't matter. Once again, a MAJOR sport is one that hundreds and hundreds of schools have as a program. So yes, baseball is a major sport. And IF cross country is in that many colleges, THAT would be a major sport also. I don't give a frick what the TV coverage or monies are. The measure of a major sport is the amount of participation by the colleges.

It really comes down to your faith in Verge and LSU to convince the donors to pay up. I’m not doubting Verge after what he pulled with Kiffin. You are free to bet against him. I think we get at least better than 14-50. I feel like we can’t hit a home run like Kiffin because LSU basketball doesn’t have the same profile as football. We can hire a competent coach. We should be able to at least be competitive.

You could say what Mcpuff has done to the men's basketball program is in violation of NCAA rules,by calling himself a College basketball The NCAA would declare he is a fraud having claimed on his resume for the LSU job that he had not only coached basketball before, he had also coached College basketball! There are 300+ division 1 golf programs. Is that a major college sport too??
I stated that only TWO college sports have individual, billion dollar contracts, which clearly makes them major sports. Every other college sport is a minor sport, or they'd have a contract worth billions as well. That's not an opinion homie, that's a fact.
If you didn't keep claiming 2+2=5, I wouldn't have to probe into why you're so flucked up.

How much more money do you think that brings in for the program than the amount of money? $1 million more? $2 million more?
I think McMahon is gone soon, but it’s not because the program would make a significant more amount of money. You’re making a lot of assumptions about basketball finances that are just wrong.
I’m all in for LSU to hire a new coach at a higher salary than McMahon (increased cost) and pay McMahon not to coach LSU (increased cost). But if you think LSU is going to make tons more money with a new coach, you’re the one severally out of touch.

Fire him, move on, and I suspect LSU basketball will have more success over the next 3-5 years under a new leader. Pretty safe prediction given how pathetic we’ve been under McMahon. But LSU basketball will continue to make money whether we’re terrible or not regardless of who the coach is, and that’s solely because of the media revenue for MBB programs.
