Strange list. Whats weird is talent level isnt one of the selection criteria.

Danny Wuerrfel more talented than Faulk? Ron Dayne? Chris Weinke?

We were in the same district in high school. Dude was one of the best athletes I ever played against. We all know about his football accolades but he also averaged 25 a game as a guard on the basketball team. He broke his hand his senior year so that limited his basketball. More impressive than that is he was a 50 foot triple jumper. In the high school track world 50 feet is very good. He was unbelievable!

If Faneca came back and our team won 10/11 games he likely becomes a Heisman candidate but his Senior Year was not very good.

Yes, if Faneca came back and played on both sides of the ball, All-American on the OL and all All-American at drop linebacker, LSU probably wins 10 games that season and Faulk is at least a Heisman finalist.

Going 4-7 will take you out of most Heisman convos.
And we were in nearly every game.
Just couldn’t find a way to win.

Faulk was the man when I was young... im from lafayette and watching a Carencro kid run through teams was amazing. I have a Faulk throwback jersey I wear during road games for good luck.... he is my alltime favorite tiger and the gold standard for what I think a lsu tiger should be....
