Just FYI and I know this as fact. Napier is extremely close to the Howards and he was the first coach to personally call walker when he broke his leg. Not saying he won’t go but at this point I would not be surprised if he followed Napier to Florida bc of the situation LSU currently sees itself in

I've said it before, if Napier would have gone to TCU, so would Walker.
He really likes Napier. I do not believe FL is in play...yet. but Walker likes Napier.
LSU needs to get off their arse.

They were a historically bad program and are now ranked in the top 25.
The fact that he's got USL in the Top 20 is an amazing accomplishment.

I think He’s at least a good coach, but ULL also plays teams that are historically shitty.
That’s the sunbelt. It’s bad football where 1 team at a time emerges and looks good till their coach get poached. Those coaches down always succeed.

You just said it yourself. ULL was “named” Co-Champion last year due to Covid.
Brian Kelly is a proven head coach who has more wins than any other Coach in College Football. He has recruited nationally and gotten his teams to the CFP twice.
Kelly has coached in Major Bowls and in big atmospheres for many years.
Billy Napier has never WON the Sunbelt Conference.
He got blown out by a terrible Texas team. He beat friggin’ Nicholls by 3 points only because Nicholls turned it over twice and 1 was a pick six.
He beat Arkansas State by 1 point.
He beat South Alabama by 2 points.
He beat Georgia State by 4 points.
None of these “huge” Sunbelt victories are over teams with more than 5 wins.
So based on that information some of you are impressed that Billy Napier is LSU ready? No.

Kelly beat LSU twice. Kelly has had 2 ND teams in the CFP and this year’s team is 11-1 and probably gets in this year. The resume’s between Kelly and Napier are vastly in Kelly’s favor. It is not even close.

In an interview this week, Walker stated he nearly went to Notre Dame to play for Kelly. I don't think we need to worry. He sounds solid to LSU from what I've heard out of his mouth.
