I like the version where once a player declares that they are going pro and will no longer be an amateur, you can’t un-ring that bell.

They didn’t know they were going to have another year of eligibility. This isn’t hard to comprehend bro.
You’re not seeing top draft picks saying frick this NFL shite, I’m going back to college because I got another year to use.

So what you’re saying is the better players that were drafted won’t want to return to college, but the less talented players that entered the draft and weren’t drafted, but have signed on with a team as an Undrafted Free Agent are now having Buyers Remorse and misjudged their value as a football player, so they need an option to return to college so they can be happy again despite their lack of accountability?

No that is not what he is saying at all nor what the players are saying. They are saying that these less talented players would not have entered the draft in the first place had the new rules gone into effect prior to the draft. The only reason they went into the draft was because at the time the NCAA said they were out of eligibility and then 60 days after the draft changed the rules.
All this would have been avoided if the idiots at the NCAA would have enacted the new rules either prior to the draft OR waited until after this college football season had already started.
