They were making a human chain. Totally legal move.

Ok. Thanks for the link. You really can't tell just from looking at the screenshots but you do see a little bit of a tug at the end there on the video

I'm just mystified at everyone calling the refs homers here. My team lost and there were bad calls that we could have used but I'm not gonna sit here and cry about it. It's part of the game. I don't blame the refs for us losing.

There are a lot of games I can blame the refs for UF losing, last night was just normal with the officiating.

but obviously there was no one around that had a clear view of what was going on to make that call with any confidence.

You mean aside from the dude in black and white stripes at the bottom right of the photo less than 10 yards away from the play as it’s happening?

Good on you. However, look at the comments in your own link. There are plenty jort wearing losers complaining.

That is not holding

It was a frickin mugging and yes it should have been called, but then again they could probably call holding on almost every play

I know this isn't going to be a popular thing to say around here but I'm pretty sure most of you don't understand what holding is. You can be behind a guy or on the side of him with a hand on their chest still provided that you were keeping it inside of the shoulders and not grabbing and pulling anything. There is no holding in those pictures. I repeat no holding. You guys freak out every single game and keep yelling about holding calls and for the most part they aren't actually there

First there was the idea of Trindon Holliday playing DE on 3rd and longs. They said it was the most illogical, uninformed thought a fan ever proposed. They said it couldn't be topped.

They were wrong.

1) This was terrible. Brings back memories of Hurts’ TD.

2) PI called on Stevens should have been called offensive PI

3) Hit well above the knee being called a personal foul was also arse

4) This crap happens regularly because college sports are officiated by humans on the field — only assisted by press-box or cameras for reviews.

An example of when it happened in our favor was on stingley’s INT Vincent was hanging all over Trask’s first read — you can’t say “that’s not a big play”. Point being: This stuff is BS when it happens, but it’s not conspiracy.

Officials have to walk a tightrope of calling too tight vs missing calls, and they’re human. There are ways this could be improved... Actually love Moscona’s quip about how ridiculous it is that they’re using chains instead of lasers to measure first downs.

Did this non call impact the game?

So you're saying if they called it, Florida would've won the game?

WTF?

No, it did not impact the game.

Dude this is LSU fans every season. They are correct on this one but I got triggered cuz I'm so tired of seeing posts about how we got held and everything was unfair

I don't know how sarcasm could have possibly been transmitted over text.

This is the unfortunate truth ruining a sport that I played, coached, and love. The proliferation of new"judgment" calls over the last several years only serves to put the outcome more in the hands of officials giving the perception of outside influence in the outcome of games. This breeds feelings of conspiracy which harms the game
