Is there any information regarding LSU wanting to play a football game in Ireland?

Haven't see anything else about this since it was initially reported they want to make it happen. Is there any movement on this whatsoever yet?

I don’t think there was much of a report, more so an off hand comment by BK that it would be cool to play there

frick neutral site games. We should play as many games at home or on another campus. Love what we’re doing with Clemson.

To hell with the Irish. There’s zero reason for LSU to go there.

Thoroughly enjoyed going to Lambeau & Vegas. Ireland would be sick, but probably too pricey for a lot of folks

2028 would be earliest they could likely do it looking at future schedules
At that point Kelly would be 67 and I have no idea how long he wants to continue to coach
I can't imagine he would go past 70 and he's the one pushing to make that trip

TGBFTL went and marched (in a St Pattys Day Parade,I think?) in Dublin not too terribly long ago; they were very well received and there’s videos of this floating around…

Not really but scheduling a game there with Notre Dame would be great.

It doesn’t have to be Notre Dame.
The next two games are Kansas St vs Iowa St & Pittsburgh vs Wisconsin

An opening game in Ireland is the last thing LSU needs to be worried about. Hell, we can't even prepare/play well in a damn opener in the US.

BK should have stayed at that other school if this is what he wants.

Verge told Jacques that although it would be cool, but unless something really drastic happens and they throw a ton of money at LSU he doubts it will ever happen.

You have no idea what you are talking about. I went a few years ago when Nebraska played. Nebraska fans travel. The Irish loved the football teams. The pubs were filled every day for a week. It was a fantastic trip. Guinness hosted a tailgate party the night before. Went to Jameson and Teeling Distilleries. If LSU played there, I will certainly be there as well.

Wasn't one of the excuses for losing the opener against USC that the time zone difference threw them off?
