Is there a better university sports ambassador in the last 50 years than Shaq?

I'm talking about how much they love their alma mater and how much they do for the school and people of La. and honestly, people in general. His kindness, level-headedness, generosity and charisma have no equal in my lifetime.
Name another athlete in *ANY* sport that has done that.
SHAQ, I salute you, sir. You are one in a million.

I mean there’s a lot of former LSU athletes that care and help LSU. They just don’t have as much money and aren’t as famous as Shaq so it doesn’t get as much recognition.

Shaq is absolutely awesome.

Which means those people are not as good of an ambassador as Shaq.
Yes, he’s the best ambassador we’ll ever have.

Nope and to think that hoops is the least accomplished of the big 3 men's sports.

While it is, especially counting championships and all, LSU basketball has some deep, deep pedigree. I would put LSU's starting 5 against most any other school.
Maravich
Petit
Shaq
Chris Jackson
Macklin
Then just plug in whoever on bench, plenty of first round picks like Swift, T. Thomas, Simmons (yuck)

Shaq has been one of the ex-jocks I enjoy seeing on TV. He's pleasant and entertaining.

He must be a great sports personality psychologist as well. Angel gave him credit, for adjusting her attitude, in order to handle the pressure of becoming a Media Star.

Shaq is one of the best. Tebow is a good one for Florida.

Shaq has been awesome for LSU. David Toms talks up the university as well but doesn't have the same platform as Shaq.

There's a guy who used to play at North Carolina that's had a pretty similar impact. He's kind of limited in how he can interact with the MBB program there due to NBA tampering rules, but other than that, he's been a similarly proficient ambassador.

Neither Eric Montross nor Tyler Hansbrough has anywhere close to the level of clout Shaq has, even if they are white.

As much as I hate to say it.
Phil Knight has probably done more for Oregon than Shaq has for LSU
