You can always right the ship and beat good offenses.

Then hire a dline coach and fire your secondary coaches.

Hire new dline coach that can coach and recruit, hire LBs coach that can recruit, hire DB coach that can coach and recruit

He would then be Dave Aranda

But I’ve heard he half way wanted to go back to the nfl as position guy last year. Guess chasing 18 year olds isn’t his thing hence the recruiting part

I can’t speak for all.
But for me, absolutely he can make it right, and Saturday’s second half was a good start. The defense started to show some life and play with some fire. As another post said, there was even some signs of accountability on the field between the players. That is a sign of leadership.

If that is a glimpse of change that is taking place, he may very well keep his job at the end of the season.

But mark my words.. with Auburn being next and Bama, UF and A&M on the schedule, it is now absolutely necessary to turn the physicality WAYYY up, or this defense is going to get embarrassed much much worse than what Ole Miss did.

I'd like to see House's system another year. DBs have been hit or miss, but we have a good group coming in, on top of the youngsters we have this year. Last year the defense was...an average defense. This year it's regressed, largely due to DLine play. Let's give it another year. S and CB coach have recruited well, really well considering what they had when they got here. I think we as fans need to realize that it's no shortcuts that coaching can take when bringing in talent and developing them.

Give it a break. Ask Baylor fans what they think of Aranda and his defensive prowess! He is proof that you cannot win consistently with mediocre recruiting classes.

If we hold bama and aTm scoreless then he agrees to take a 500k paycut I’d be ok with him hanging around another year.

I’m hoping for right the ship. Then make a change at the end of the season to upgrade anyway.

Just has to coach his arse off. Got his work cut out for him. This is what separates the elite coaches from the average ones. The ability to do more with less.

it would be just as bad or worse if this staff doesn't stock up on the top DTs in the xfer portal

Need Wiggins and Womack to show out and contribute in a big way. Can't consistently be whiffing on top end talent on the line year in and year out.

At this point, LSU would need to win out and play drastically better the 2nd half. One way to shut win people over is by winning.

Stop opposing offenses from embarrassing LSU

That’s all he has to do

The defense hasn’t just been bad, it’s been embarrassing. People are laughing at how bad it’s been. It’s historically bad

You missed the point

If house had a staff of competent coaches and recruiters he would be the guy that all lsu fans what which is Dave Aranda. House doesn’t recruit nor does Aranda. However Aranda had players cause of his position coaches

yep. Just being slightly better than average we would win more games.

Average is a long way away. We were average for 7.5 minutes last week.

But considering the fact that BK is letting House pick all his assistants, we will just get a staff full of nobodies again next year.

House needs to be let go. Their is talent on this defense. We should be an average to very good defense. We are 7 games in and the LSU standard of good to great defenses, I have not seen much improvement. I do not think House likes to coach college players and wants back in the NFL. He looks dis-interested to me. Hit the road...

absolutely not.

I do not understand the love for this guy, the defense last year was 100% average. This year would love to just be average.

Could not find a place for perkins, didn't know the DL was an issue (without a coach), cant get off the field on 3rd down (point of emphasis), his teams do not play with passion consistently, lack of tackling, doesn't recruit well..probably forgetting a few things.

All those limitations while being one of the top-paid DC in the sport? GTFO!
