great stats....but, Miles and staff have this team playing at such a high level that it, IMHO, is impossible to try and choose one above all. case in point....what about the two guys who dropped the ball into Randle's hands while he was in full stride? just sayin.

Debatable.
I'd say debatable, but I think Claiborne is definitely a first rounder. Mathieu would be if he were three inches taller, and may be still.
Randle's done well, but I don't know that he'll get picked up in the first round.

Which DL will get picked before him?

Yes - he is the best. Next Larry Fitzgerald I tell ya. I just hope he stays his sr year.

Just think how good he could be if he didn't drop easy touchdown passes

OBJ, Anthony Johnson, Claiborne, Montgomery, Mingo, TM7, Ware/Ford/Hilliard, La'el, Jarvis Landry, Eric Reid, Simon, and the list goes on and on. Randle is good, but this team is loaded with superstars.

Not only those stats, but he has made some huge blocks this season. I say, yes he is.

I think Randle's value to this team is greater than the defensive players named. How any will fare in the NFL is impossible to forecast.
Maybe best should be refined into most valuable and most talented. Depends on which one we are talking about.

Is Reuben Randle the best player on our team?

He might have been the best player on O last year, but in a shite offensive system.
Quite often you see a struggling player swap systems and just blow the frick up.
All hail the Terrapin.

Im not talking same year because its not clear which year RR will go out.
I see RR and an eventual late 2nd or 3rd round pick.
I believe Brockers and Logan would go higher and Freak will eventually.
Montgomery could go higher but his knee might be an issue.

Agreed. I think that's always a point of confusion or ambiguity. I asked yesterday whether LSU would be the "best" team in the BCS era if we won out the way we've played so far--even better than Miami 01"--and posters were quick to note that that team had unbelievable NFL talent. In that post, I meant the best and most dominant product on the field (as a unit), but had to concede.
I think RR (and Lee and Ware, for that matter) are more important to the team, individually, than almost any defensive player. But I don't believe that, by position and potential draft status, they compare to at least a few of the guys on the D. We'll see. I honestly think that ODB Jr. is more talented and will be better by the time he's a junior.
But Reuben is the man and I hope he goes on to do well.

If he's as good as most people in the thread seem to think, maybe we could spell his name correctly in the thread title?

Am with you on this. I love watching him play, he combines raw talent with textbook smoothness and capable speed. No one is going to agree on this topic but he is as hard to replace (if injured) as anyone on the team.

why so late?

That was if he came out as a junior. I see him as an early 2nd with potential to go in the 1st as a sr.
Mainly because WR's are risky #1 picks that teams are starting to go away from like RBs. There are generally only around 4 WRs taken 5 in big year for WR in the 1st round. If he comes out in 2012 then there are too many higher rated WRs on the board.
He wont be rated higher than Jeffery, Blackmon or Floyd. And then there is Jones,Broyles that will probably grade out higher. RR would do better by waiting a year.

RR should be close to the most talented player on the team, and I think he realizes the opportunity he has this season as being the best WR on the best team in the country as far as NFL attention goes. But as stated above lots of guys are likely to grade out above him although idk about Broyles, he doesn't seem physically as gifted but thats not the only component to being a great player of course.
