I say yes.

In the SEC, we are #12 in attempts per game, yet Randle is:

#1 total yards
#1 yards per reception
#1 in touchdowns
#3 in total receptions
#3 in yards per game
#7 in receptions per game

There are so many to chose from. TM7 when focused and not in trouble may be the best.

He's been ridiculously good this season, I think the key to the Bama game is him vs their secondary

I think he was on Saturday, certainly offensively. However, it's hard to pick a "best" this year, because the team is so strong. When any player has a bad day (or "distractions" keep them off the field), somebody always seems to step up. OBJ (true freshman playing like a senior, anyone?) and Lee stepping in for Shepard and JJ at the beginning of the year. Ford and Hilliard splitting Ware's reps on Saturday.

Brooks had a heck of a game on Saturday, effectively subbing in for Mathiue and Simon, as did Mingo. Brandon Taylor playing out of position because of the unavailability of Matieu and Simon.

The interior Dlinemen (and all of the OLinemen) are having great games pretty much every week, without much fanfare. We have 4 or 5 future NFL defensive ends. Even the much-malingned T-Bob - he's just catching crap "by exception" - he didn't have a great game against Kentucky and he got beat a couple of times against Auburn, but while he may be the "weak link" on the OLine - he has played really well this year, overall.

How do you pick Randle (2 TDs) over Hilliard or OBJ? Or the QBs? JJ has a passer rating in the 200s now or something crazy like that - Lee has peaked at the exact right moment.

There is no "I" in team.

I think he is the most technically sound player at his position on our team, and will probably be LSU's highest NFL draft pick in the next few years, but the HB's uncanny knack for huge plays is just insane...

I'd say he's probably our third best player behind TM7 and Claiborne.

Randle has been awesome but there are really no good WRs in the Sec outside of Jeffrey

He is not better than Mathieu or Claiborne. Im also sure half our DL will be drafted higher than him. He is a very good player though.
