This isn't the 90s dumbass
Should Kentucky basketball fire Cal who only has 1 title?

The first thing you need to understand is this isn't football...its fricking baseball. None of those things are required to compete on a national level and it's even more evident today if you actually watch the sport.

Then, tell me who makes more than Pawful
Tim Corbin. Next question

Then tell me how many teams spend far less, have far less fans, far less support, but manage to win similarly to Pawful?
No one in the SEC besides O'Sullivan. So a grand total of ONE. I say SEC because this is the hardest conference to win in. frick the rest of the teams in the country.

fan support while nice, is essential meaningless outside of perhaps some extra revenue which is it nearly as much as the fans think.
Plenty of schools however have the resources and have been putting it more of into baseball lately particularly in the SEC. Unfortunately most people like you who view everything through a football lens can’t accept that in baseball schools like Arkansas, Ole Miss and MSU for example are on more equal footing with LSU (and also have fan support btw. Florida of course also has resources out the wazoo
Recruiting channels. States like Florida and Texas produce more talent so recruiting for schools like Florida or TCU will be easier. LSU because of our history and tradition does well nationally but that’s always more difficult.
If recent tradition was the end all then LSU would never have become a power. USC, Miami and Texas would have dominated the 90s. So like fan support, it’s nice, something to brag about but in and of itself doesn’t help you win, it does however lead to some spoiled moronic fans

Going 8-4 with 2 SEC tourney wins gets us a top seed. A sweep this weekend is crucial.

It will come down to us and Arky, which means we must win the Arky series.

According to BB America they do.
Ranked 13th as of today
They definitely have a shot if they win those series LIKE THEY SHOULD!
Now, NEVER bring it up again!

Yes, at this point in the 2017 season (CWS runners-up), LSU had the same overall record and were one-game worse in conference record (10-8 rather than 11-7).
Great catch. This pumps me up.

I believe the D1 guys have us on the bubble out for a national seed, so yes for sure a possibility.

Ill save you the time:
Bfnii thoughts “Paul has only been the 7th most successful coach in the ncaa from 2010 on....yeah he is 4th best if you go from 2008 on. The national seeds dont matter, the parity of the sport doesnt matter. I dont want paul fired, i have no answers as far as replacements go, but paul doesnt provide lsu with a good ROI”

D1 currently has us as the 12 seed, jumbled with a few teams in that 12-15 range

Anything is possible, but it's no longer likely.

Yes, it is likely if we finish ahead of Arky and beat them on the road.

I wouldnt say its likely

20 SEC Wins are always the Magic Number. Correct me if I am wrong but there has never been any team with 20 SEC Wins not get a Top 8 Seed?
