We should’ve known then with Les.
No, we hadn't been able to practice, because many players were trying to take care of their families/homes and the campus was the staging ground for rescue and aid operations. And then we had to go on the road at the last minute.
Our defense wasn't ready for that game, but that wasn't the fault of Les Miles.

By who?

The thread unanimously agrees it’s a game that very few have talked about. You’re just being an antagonist. There’s no world where this game is frequently talked about among alums and fans.

I haven't gone through the thread, but I've talked about the Tennessee game more times than the ASU game simply bc of way we let them come back on us that year.
But I do have great memories of that game. I was at a sports bar in Annapolis, MD bc of Katrina and I was into the game wearing my LSU gear so it got people's attention since the hurricane was such a big deal. It was a very very fun night for my younger self!!!

First time in memory I gave up on a game and missed the end.

I was right there with ya, buddy. I was sitting down for the end because I couldn't bear seeing the loss. Then magic happened! Wow

JaMarcus with just a flick of the wrist threw a frozen rope just about 50 yards while on the move.
Physically, he was the best of the best.

The ball came out when he hit the ground and he didn't have the purest control of it when he was up. Definitely not ruled a catch now.
It wasn't a catch then either.

I was seeing this redhead at the time. We watched the first half, and I was so pissed we went to the bedroom at halftime. After fricking through the intermission and part of the third quarter, I heard the Tigers score, and said, "we may be coming back". Went back to the living room and watched the rest of the game.

Drove down from Vegas with buddies. Hot af that day. 10 rows up in front of the catch to win it. Lost 12 pounds that day. Was amazed the D was not like Sabans. Good memory.

I’ve had many conversations about this game over the years, especially this exact time of year leading up to the anniversary of Katrina. Sorry if this is upsetting to you lol

Was Miles confused about going for 1 or 2 when we were about to be up 28-24?
