A lot of people could have taken Miles' players and beaten Bama.

No, but based off his elite results at LSU, he's probably around the Top 3.

No way in God's green earth. Who in their right mind would mess with a good thing and bench the top rated QB in the toughest league in the nation for the top team at the time for a one dimensional QB suspended from the team for an altercation and breaking team rules?

Miles has flirted with disaster way too many times in his career for it to be considered one off. He believed his own headlines, was ill prepared for the game, and will forever be remembered for all of the wrong reasons after the disastrous showing in the title game. Its one thing to lose in a tight game, its another to not have a single thing on offense work, yet you continue to repeat it.

Irrelevant.

Hell if thats so.

Must be nice to know you only have to beat a team once while that same team has to beat you twice in almost a month and both away from death valley.

GTFO with that irrelevant shite

CLM is the best "College coach" while the other guy is considered by some to be the best coaching in college. I take that to mean reject NFL coach.

Lets face it the midget runs his team like the minors for the NFL

No, but top 5 based on his winning percentage.

Based on his "lack of a need for a change" plus the inept game plan in the BCS game, he's far from being one of the best coaches in America.

This season will show how good of a coach he is. How he gets the team to respond to the collapse on Jan. 9th, a new QB and the loss of talent due to the NFL and eligibility will show where he stands.

He may be a good recruiter, but there are some serious flaws in Miles' program.

Yep. And LSU has a large and growing fanbase across the country in large part because of his crazy arse.

well said! its amazing that someone can be called an idiot and a great coach on the same day by different people. he's a character thats for sure, but if he wasnt in louisiana i'm not sure he'd really fit in. he works well here, but i dont think he would anywhere else, but he also wouldnt get the shite he gets down here because, bottom line, the man wins games. I dont think he is considered or, unless he wins several national titles (i hope for that scenario!), the best football coach in america. as long as saban and urban are around, they will pass that title back and forth.

I believe he is great coach, but not the best. He has too many colossal coaching failures to be considered the best.
