No, he's Leavitt. Stop with the comparison, Joe was a different monster.

I'd like to point out, that Burrow's 2018-2019 season was the first time he started a game since High School... Leavitt came to LSU with 20 college starts and over 600 pass attempts.. so not a great comparison
Burrow's jump from 2018 to '19 was also massively influenced by Joe Brady coming on board in '19.

Burrow always had the talent, it just wasn't fully unleashed under Ensminger in 2018.

If we are playing this game... if Sam returns, which depends on the rest of the year and his draft stock, he will not be Burrow like. Not because I don't think he wouldn't be one of the best quarterbacks in college football but because he doesn't have a Burrow's skill set. The thing that separated Burrow from everybody else in 2019 wasn't his arm strength or his ability to run the ball it was his ridiculous accuracy and his ability to sidestep and move in the pocket. I believe that Levitt will get better with his accuracy. But a far better comp for him is not Burrow it is JD 1 + 4 . I'm not saying he's a Heisman winner. I'm saying if he stayed another year and improved like we would expect a quarterback to improve under Lane, with his running ability, the better comp is JD 1+4.

Leavitt's stats since the beginning of the second quarter against the Aggies until after the McNeese game are :

29/40 (72.5%)
452 yards
5 TDs
2 Ints

And that's over 6.5 quarters

I disagree

100% disagree. Go watch 2022 SECG highlights. The velocity Nuss has on his ball was elite. Then you compare that to the 2025 season and it’s so evident he was throwing at maybe 65-70%. He had very little zip, bad run scheme and bad pass pro was a recipe for disaster with a pocket passer. I would have loved to have seen a healthy Nuss with Mike Denbrock at OC. Losing Denbrock was the death knell for Brian Kelly’s career at LSU.

Also Nuss made a freaking nfl roster. He’s a really good qb who’s pushing for the backup position.

have an upvote

If he stays for next year he could be the third Heisman winner we have had in 10 years.

No. No one will ever be Burrow. Myles Brennan wasn’t when y’all asked. Daniels wasn’t when y’all asked. Nuss wasn’t when y’all asked. And now Leavitt isn’t. Let. It. Go.
