He's my favorite. I went to LSU when he was playing though, so that probably has a lot to do with it.

Kevin is pretty darn close to my all-time favorite. I probably still lean a little towards Hodson and Herb Tyler (and a special place for Hokie Gajan, my first "favorite player" as a kid).
But I do hold a very special place for Kevin, because I believe he did more for LSU football than any other single athlete. At a time when the program was legitimately teetering on the edge of oblivion, his appearance sparked a revitalization that kept the program breathing until Saban came along and really jump started it. Faulk was the top guy in the country and had every program everywhere begging him to come, and he chose an LSU program that had suffered six straight losing seasons, saw its attendance dwindling, and had just hired a new coach.
Between the buzz of his signing and his performance on the field, he was more responsible than any other single player for the turnaround that season, imo.

Everyone has their own favorites, but geez - Kevin Faulk? I mean I loved the guy when we beat Florida and he made the cover of SI, but all time favorite? Are you related to him? Did he babysit you as a child? Did he let you cheat off of him in class? Did he toss you a wristband? Your complete knowledge of LSU goes as far back as what - 1985? Guess I'm getting old.

are you serious? "jemarcus" is your favorite LSU player of all time? You've got to be kidding.

I loved the guy, I was too young to know what he was doing outside of football, but as for football, he is in my top 3.
1. Wally Pontiff Jr.- idolized him even before he died
2. Michael Clayton
3. Kevin Faulk
4. Ryan Theriot
5. Torris Bright
