He isnt bad. He has made a couple mistakes his first year or two here, but he is getting it back on track in regards to coaching hires and recruiting. Itll just take 2 years longer than fans want.
With that said,
Imagine looking at what he has done here, and thinking napier or orgeron is a better coach. Takes some real mental gymnastics to get to that

He should have filled holes ( which are gaping ) through the portal . Coordinators should be very good at what they do . How about a very creative OC , instead of an overpaid guy who is relieved that BK finally helps him at practices ?!

He hasn't proven to be bad overall. He has proven to be very good/not elite over his career.
I think he would agree he failed miserably at being even acceptable this year.

I couldn’t get through 10 posts on the 1st page after the OP before I had to bail. I would just like for those of you who not only think Kelly is really bad or that he sucks, please just tell me all the coaches you think are good. Besides Kirby Smart, who’s on your top 10 list? There are 130 (ish) FBS teams. Surely it will be super easy to find 9 more after Kirby that are good. Not even looking for great. Will take good.

In over his head . Players lack size , power and speed . Undisciplined . Laugh at Sunbelt , he has things trending in the right direction … and he understands that special teams win games .

Everything is relative. By our past standards we suck. By the current standings were are above average and 1-2 games out of being in the forefront of the CFP with the roster we have.
The other issue nobody wants to look at is what our status was coming into the season. I am a 10K ft kinda guy. We are in a QB change season and by most standards this is a mediocre year unless you are 2012 Bama. Actually if you look at what the non P&G media predicted for LSU we are either at or above preseason expectations. Despite the preseason ranking we were picked in the lower half of the SEC.
