Saban's teams have been doing this shite forever. The tackles are the same style every time.

Do I think Saban tells the player to do on that play? No.

Do I think it's a coincidence that Saban's teams continues to knock out QBs? No.

That is Saban's standard operating procedure.

Saban targeting QBs since 2009 and the Saints are the ones that are punished. Amazing.

they probably just teach it for free

McCoy
Jefferson i’m 2009
Mettenberger
Ewers
Daniels

lots of QBs seem to get injured out by Bama DL.

When it happens repeatedly over more than a decade, involving different players, it becomes obvious that it’s being coached.

frick that midget and the complicit refs and league office.

Of course the head coach would not go around saying that explicitly to players. Neither would position coaches. But they sure teach that aggressive technique of tackling. There's probably a 'pride' in knocking out the opposing QBs -whether the play was legit or dirty does not matter to them. When there are no repercussions the players tend to do it over and over.

Having JD5 to run the highest scoring offense in the country for another 15minutes sure as hell could’ve changed the outcome of the game…

People don’t get that THIS is what we are pissed about- not that Bama gets away with shite, but that we could’ve beat them anyway…

Saban's mentor was Bill Belichick. How many scandals has Belichick been a part of? Years ago ESPN ran a story of a former SEC assistant coach that was now at Bama. He wasn't in the booth at any other game except the game against his former team. They accused him of spying on signals. Of course, ESPN took the story off the main board pretty quickly but you could still search for it. Saban is dirty like his mentor and the SEC lets him get away with it. Look at this article. I know Saban is probably not the only one to do it, but just shows he will go to any lengths to win: LINK

This thread is why I venture to this cesspool occasionally. Thank you for allowing me to start my day on a bright note.

What if it wasn't Saban who asked for? What if one of Bama's big boosters approached Turner last week and offered him money to take out JD5 when he has a chance? Money will make people do crazy things.

Just curious if he were still coaching here and the opposing team kept losing their QB, we would want an investigation?

I think he sternly reminded his team of this during halftime!

Why do people think this is a valid question?

For one, it’s possible that it does change the outcome. More importantly, if rules are not consistently applied, outcomes will eventually be changed.

Personally, at this point I’ve sat through hours of reviews of targeting reviews. The game itself has been changed by these reviews, and the whole point in doing so is for player safety. In this instance, a penalty was called, and our defenseless player was injured because of a hit to the head or neck area.

The Outcome for our player definitely changed. The outcome for the bama player didn’t. That’s what we call unfair, and you can continue to expect people to talk about things that are not fair. This game happened to have a few of those things
