Is it Canada's style offense that has the defense confused?

The D line was supposed to be LSU's strength, so what gives, is Canada offense's really that confusing on defensive assignments, LSU has monsters on the D line and at LB? Anybody know what's going on, is this good or bad?

LSu has a really good Running back and a really good OC

the DLINe had a punch of Tackles for Loss and a bunch of sacks.

and 2 picks.

Some of what he does is for confusion for sure. But it's also to get a read on what type of defense they are playing.

He coaches offense like Aranda coaches defense

It's confusing stats, LSU D dominates through the air, LSU's offensive ground game takes the air out the defense, wears them out.

YEs, all the things people were saying about Aranda's Style seem to apply

Schemes around players rather than making players work a scheme.
Wants to disguise looks and make the other side react instead of act.

Basically using what we know to be fundamental football against the other team. Attaching defenseive assignments with misdirections to draw players out of position. Showing different looks to get good matchups on blocking schemes.

I like both of them a lot.

FYI FWIW, some a-hole is crying about the offensive line in the scrimmage thread.

Guice averaged over 10 yds. per carry, the other backs all averaged close to 5 ypc. For an early scrimmage, for any scrimmage. that's pretty damn awesome. Whiny asss LSU fans, we're full of them.

When your team is playing your team, you can't feel good about the offense AND the defense. Impossible.

The OP is worried that our offense is confusing OUR defense? Who the frick cares? Our D won't play against our offense when it really matters.

LSU offense wins the day= LSU fans go bat shite crazy and worry about our Dline, depth and secondary.

LSU defense wins the day= Etling sucks, Canada is overrated and don't really know what he is doing, going to be the same ole shitty offense we have seen for 6 years blah blah blah.

That's pretty much a dream come true for LSU fans right there. Spring just might be awesome from here on out.

Do that against the SEC BIG BOYS and effectively PASS BLOCK against them.

Consistent pass blocking against SEC ADULTS has been the Achilles Heel of the LSU OL for at least the last 4-5 seasons.

Pass and Run blocking against Bama has been non existent for 6 years now; OL gets dominated.

WGAF how many holes were opened in a scrimmage? Not me.........

We go through this every year. If the defense has good stats during s scrimmage then it's is our defense good or is our offense bad. Good offensive stats must mean that our defense is just terrible. It's a scrimmage.......

Our Dline stats from the scrimmage were really good. That's a lot of tackles from the DL. I did notice he didn't give any stats on LBs.

About your first question- Yes D-line is still good and strong

Is Canada's Offense confusing- It seems that way after this last scrimmage and that is great to see and hear since we want to do that to our opponents. So a good sign if we can do this to our Aranda coached D!! Making progress since Spring game

Monsters on D-line and LB- Whats going on? Nothing is going on. They are facing an offensive mastermind freak, who will make them look bad on occasions. But if you look at the stats, plenty of sacks, TFL, hurries, etc... we are fine.

Let me ask you something. You want one side to totally demolish the other, or you expecting both sides to dominate!!! Won't happen, relax
