Now that he has been recognized by the rant. His downfall will soon come. It’s a shame, too.

Most talented no, but he’s definitely performing the best of any of them.

Why isn’t he the most talented? He clearly is. Don’t say it’s because of his velocity.

He's definitely making a claim to being a dark horse candidate for best starter on the team.

He's making a claim for SEC freshman of the year as well

He has been lucky. Several hard hit balls found fielders, but he’s still the most consistent we have.

Possibly the dumbest post I've ever read on the Rant. And there have been some doozies. But this post combines extreme stupidity with extreme ignorance of baseball. Of course there may be other reasons in addition but these are the two that stand out.

Every pitcher on earth gets balls hit hard on them from time to time dummy

Yep, and most of those hard hits find grass. For Hilliard most have found leather. He has not pitched as well as his stats, but he has still pitched very well. That's why I wrote, "He's still our most consistent."

What appeared a little shaky a few weeks back has now become a strength of this team - pitching. SP and the bullpen have been incredibly effective.

Labas last night needed only 65 pitches to get through 5IP (yes, it was Nicholls). Hilliard continues to impress, and his poise has been incredible vs SEC competition. IF PM can get something from Storz and Sanders, this pitching staff just becomes deeper and tougher to beat.

Unfortunately at this point I'm not expecting much from Storz. No telling when we'll see him again and that doesn't guarantee he'll be effective when he does come back.

What's up with Sanders though? I don't remember the last time he pitched, at least not in inning eater duty. He started off reeealy poorly but seemed to really step his game up. I'll also throw out that Peterson has stepped up too. Finally starting to see what Paul sees in him.
