There are few sure wins in the SEC, Vandy was a play away from beating Notre Dame.
Tennessee and Ar-Kansas would be the closest to the bottom of the conference at this time.

I remember a similar overconfident attitude in 2016.

We aren't underdogs anymore. The target is on our back now, and every team from the lowest to the highest is going to play us like we pushed their momma down the stairs.

I have never thought of UF as a sure win. It will be a tough game there as usual.

Ole miss can score a ton. That is always a problem for LSU teams.

Sure win? Yes and No.

If we play to potential we should beat them, but SEC road games are not automatic and always tough

You all do realize that all this whopping and hollering about last weeks victory over Auburn will suddenly evaporate if Louisiana Tech comes in here Saturday night and beats LSU.

The job now for Coach Eaux and his staff is to keep those players focused on the NEXT game. Louisiana Tech is no pushover. LSU takes the foot off the gas.....La Tech is gonna tag them.

A football team is only as good as its next victory.

As you were.

Mullen is a good coach and will move them forward.

Bingo! This is the point. The Florida Gator team we face on that date would utterly destroy this week's LSU team. But right now, LSU is better. Dan Mullen's team will continue to improve, and they will probably be very good by the end of the year.

Great coaches have teams that peak as they get into November. That's one of the reasons Ole Miss and Aggie could upset Saban, but LSU lost seven in row. We play them when Saban has the kinks worked out.

Orgeron has to keep his staff and his players focused on improving every week. If he does, LSU will be better than Florida on game day. As someone once said, "It's a process."

This is the one victory I need every year. I think we beat them but it won't be easy in the swamp. I need bragging rights over all my gator Homer friends out here

Been a good decade for you, buddy.

Obviously you haven't watched much SEC football. No such thing as a sure win in this league

8. @ARK
9. Rice

Good ranking. And I would have put @Auburn at number two and Miami between A&M and Miss State.

It's a long way off.

There will be development by some LSU guys , nicks to others that keep them sidelined for gators game and it's a road game.

I haven't seen them play yet but many were highly recruited.
They might be ready or at least more ready by then.

Ball bounces funny.
A missed call.
A db tossed for unsportsmanlike.

Pretty soon it's a dog fight.

So no.

I'm not so sure it will be a cakewalk. Mullen knows LSU like the back of his hand.

Does he?

2009 30–26 LSU in Davis Wade Stadium
2010 29–7 LSU in Tiger Stadium
2011 19–6 LSU in Davis Wade Stadium
2012 37–17 LSU in Tiger Stadium
2013 59–26 LSU in Davis Wade Stadium
2014 34–29 Mississippi State in Tiger Stadium
2015 21–19 LSU in Davis Wade Stadium
2016 23–20 LSU in Tiger Stadium
2017 37–7 Mississippi State in Davis Wade Stadium

In 9 years with Mullen at Moo State LSU beat them by 20 or more 3 times including 33 points in Starkville and also by 13 in one other time in Starkville. So 7 out of 9 time LSU won, 4 straight by double digits 2 of those in their home stadium. All 7 of those victories were under Miles with 1 loss in 2014. O had that horrible performance last year but I am hoping it was an anomaly.

Mullen is a very good coach and did play us close 4 times (4, 3, and 2 point victories by LSU and a 5 point victory by Moo). I am concerned because he has far better athletes at Florida than he ever did at State. But to say he knew LSU like the back of his hand might be a stretch.
