Denbrock leaving:
EASIER PATH to the playoffs at ND, year after year. Gets more money for success or get HC gig because of the "playoff" success, and more MONEY!

With a t 12 team playoff, ND is likely always in and LSU in about 80% of the years.

Once in, LSU going way further than ND, however.

Not a factor at all. Ridiculous to even suggest.

These guys think through job changes the way most of us do. Sure, money and championship potential are factors, but some people don’t like living in the Deep South. It’s really not any more complicated than that.

He’s from up north. I think it has to be about location. He turned Texas am down and they were making him the highest paid in the nation.

Was he wanting to go home when he nearly took the A&M job?
I think LSU may need to not at least consider he was running away versus running to.

12 team playoff scenario based upon the team's record. Do you think it is easier to have fewer losses in the SEC, or at ND?

Please expand on your point.

Neither LSU nor Notre Dame would have made a 12 team playoff either of the last two years based on CFP final rankings. LSU was closer both years.

Since the CFP began, LSU would have gone twice, in 2018 & 2019, ND would have gone 4 times, in 2015, 2018, 2020, & 2021. All ND's times would have been under Kelly.

Not that any of that means anything.

Denbrock nearly taking the job and A&M calling him to see if there’s interest are two entirely different things. Denbrock cannot control who calls him.

Give me the link that says Denbrock was interested and “nearly” took the A&M job.
