But yeah, BK is a candidate

I think BK would get it if he can win the SECCG or NCG... But he has to get there first.

Is the Pope a Catholic?

Does a bear ____ in the woods?

Of course....one of the all time great coaching jobs ever done, especially given the short amount of time in which the resuscitation / revival has occurred.

Equivalent of recovery from open heart surgery from a near lifeless team with no QB to this - unbelievable, and while done quick, it's not just a short term fix - full revival of the team and fortunes.

He will definitely win if we were to beat Tennessee in the SEC Championship game

Candidate sure, winner eh. He'd have to win the conference. Maybe just the division.

As of 10/26/22 it's Heupel easily.

In the hunt would be:
Lanning at Oregon
Dykes at TCU
CBK
Kirby, Kiffin. Beamer

I think it’s Heupel‘s to lose. If Tennessee nose dives & loses 2 games & doesn’t make it to the SEC C game, it could be someone else’s to win. Id have to say that CBK would definitely be a candidate.

The other possible scenario that could derail Heupel would be he gets absolutely clowned by Georgia and maybe that gives Kirby the award. I'd still say comparatively, Heupel's body of work given where UT is coming from would be more impressive than Kirby's. Sometimes that's still the way it goes because Kirby's won it before etc.

The simple answer is yes he is a candidate. Why can't people just answer the question. Didn't ask if he would win it.
