No but he probably won’t have an NFL job anymore. He’s been pretty bad this season. Many chief fans complain that he’s awful at reading the holes.
Hope he makes a team but he basically made all his money on potential after the 2019 NC season. He hasn’t done much in the NFL and RBs are usually best when they are young. Don’t see his next contract being much.

Guess what?

That dude has been through a lot in his life (more than most of us) and has still achieved great things.

He’s still young, came into the league with a dynasty and has now won multiple championships. CEH is probably gone from KC, so he may never get back there again.

Doesn’t matter if it’s his second in a row, this is living a dream for these guys. it’s understandable to be emotional when you reach that summit with no guarantees that it will happen again.

I believe he has a state championship as well, or at least I remember reading that somewhere. So that, 2 SB, part of the GOAT CFB team, and a righteous kill under his belt makes him one of my favorite tigers ever. I'd love to see him tear it up a bit on a team that could use him but if he punches out it's not like he doesn't have a great career to look back on.

So based on the information in this link. He should make a little less than $18,000.00 a month for his pension. I'm not sure i'd worry about "working" again. I'd just enjoy my passions of hunting and fishing... Good for Clyde.

He's a competitor though and will try and play for another squad no doubt. I'll never forget his contributions agains Bama! Good luck Clyde.

Surprised i didn't see anyone say it.

But he didn't get to play last year, he wasn't even on the roster for the super bowl after his injury.

So while yes he got a ring last year. This is the one where he was actually a contributing member of the team. I'm sure this one meant a heck of a lot more to him and why he was emotional.

It’s why so many clubs cut guys just short of their 4th season in their rookie deal if they aren’t long term for the league.

If ya'll recall, Clyde was very emotional after we beat Alabama. I bet nursing school will be harder than spring training for him.

I wish him nothing but the best.

Clyde, you made us proud

I would bet you my life a 2nd year RB with his production and pay isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. The chiefs are not going to pay Clyde anything more than the minimum when they need WR’s and Pacheco has 2 more years on his rookie deal and was a 7th round pick

The man has worked his tail off and been fighting injuries. Not many folks in KC thought he would make the 53 man roster this season. Bet he thought his time with his teammates the last few years was over, but instead he busts his arse to stay on the squad and gets a Super Bowl ring bc of it. Could easily see how that would get you emotional. Football is all he’s known and he was on the brink of losing it 6 months ago.

Glad he got another ring.
I would like to see the Saints get him at a cheap price.

He’s probably anticipating not getting signed. I love the guy and all he did for LSU, but considering he was picked in the first round (granted, 32nd overall) he’s been a bust. My biggest critique of him since he’s been in the NFL is ball security. He’s a player I’ve always wanted to be good bit it just hasn’t quite happened.

Also, Geert is right. I’d be emotional too.
