He’s done this a few times there champ. He knows what he is doing and his playing the long game. Next year is a major rebuild but put your trust that he will turn it around.

This is what changing a toxic culture looks like. You set the ground rules going forward. Anyone who can’t or won’t abide by them can kick fricking rocks.

You mean like Perrilloux and Mathieu, which probably each cost us a Natty?

Can we… can we wait till he coaches a game? I get being like this about people like Wade and Mulkey, but this just sounds like koolaid talk.

Kelly has a substantial coaching history and many consider him a tier 1 HC. He doesn’t have to prove or earn anything, he’s already done that multiple times.

Questioning his decisions or what he’s done so far seems unnecessary and premature.

No one is above the program dude. How many times do people need to explain it to you? Tyrann and Perrilloux both regret the hell out of their poor decisions now.

Bruh, this is the most entitled BS approach I’ve ever seen.
-Coaches/ Supervisors provide a time to be at a meeting
-Entire team shows up on time except you, you are warned
-You do it again, you are reprimanded
-You do it AGAIN and you are booted

How is this heavy handed? If you don’t enforce standards, players won’t show up to meetings because they think they can get away with it, that leads to lack of focus on the field and in film study, lack of respect from play callers, and absolutely zero chance at success. If BK didn’t do what he did I would be concerned.

Amen to that brotha. Just like raising kids and training huntin dogs, discipline is the foundation. If you let them do or take what they want…….. they will do and take what they want.

The McGlothern deal has me a little concerned that Kelly has come in and tried to lay down the law from the get go instead of getting to know the team and earning their respect.
With the immediate transfer rule, you can’t be so heavy-handed even if your goal is to create a more disciplined environment. I’m not saying this is how it should be, but it’s how it is.
I feel like this is what a lot of us were afraid BoB would do. Kelly didn’t recruit these guys, and to come in and try to reverse everything about the O regime in one fell swoop seems unwise.

I love Brennan, but how on earth do you think 20 or 21 would have been 10 win seasons? We were atrocious in multiple aspects of the game and not just football.

Are you assuming McGlothern transferred by choice? Because the same folks saying he kept showing up late are also saying it wasn’t his choice to leave. In that case, the transfer rule doesn’t really make a difference here.. other than the fact that he gets a second chance this year instead of next year.

ETA: And if he was academically ineligible as some have stated, he has to sit out a year anyway.

This thread is basically the OP sad that O is gone and acting like the second winningest coach in college football shouldn’t have leeway with the fans

It’s also noticeable that O acolytes on here like to act like every player that has transferred was some elite, can’t lose guy as if these guys didn’t play .500 ball the last two years.

LSU as a program was rotten to the core with players and coaches who were not serious about being at LSU. You had a Head Coach who was not committed to the Football Program since 2019. You had staff turnover with the coordinators at catastrophic levels. You had coaches being hired without being interviewed by the Head Coach.

The don’t give schitt attitude permeated the Football Program from the Head Coach through the assistants and down to the players. What you are seeing now is the result of a poorly run Football Program for at least the last 2 years.

So no Brian Kelly is not being hard on the players. He is running off coaches and players he deems problematic to what he wants to set up for success. If the players can’t or won’t get on board then now is the time to go elsewhere. Let’s clean house and move on with coaches and players who want to be at LSU. Good luck to the ones who left. Bye.

So you typed a whole shitload of words about your “thoughts” on CBK. What you really wanted was the exact reaction you received so that you could then post your imagined thoughts on how you think Aranda would have handled it.

Brian Kelly is our coach. He will win here. Get on board or fricking transfer.

Nah, Orgeron was too lenient with these kids. I don't like the transfers but a change in culture is really needed at LSU.
