We couldn’t run block last year with 2 first rounders. This year looks no different.

It’s his fault we don’t have a better backup center than Chester

Look up rushing statistics at every stop he’s been at.

Can you just tell me? I’m assuming it’s bad. So if that’s the case then why is he here?

This is really mind boggling.

2020 Arkansas - 78th
2019 Missouri - 74th
2018 MIssouri - 33rd
2017 Florida - 75th
2016 North Texas - 109th

Comments on him from a Missouri fan: "Good recruiter, horrible coach. Usually jumps ship before you realize how bad of a coach he is ... The fact that our line went from solid to horrible with the same players from his first to second year, and then looked solid again this past season with all new starters."

This is what the sunshine pumpers are missing. It’s evident we have not just a season-level issue, but a program level issue.

Davis cannot develop or coach for shite & having a journeyman OC doesn’t help. These guys aren’t gonna cut it this year or long term… The rebuild marches on.

Isn't Davis the only coach retained from Orgeron's staff? Any thoughts about why Kelly kept him?

Yes, he is the problem. We have 4 OL in the league from last year's team based on potential alone. Our OL ranked dead last in the conference in pass protection last year. Almost dead last in run blocking. He's a good recruiter but he cannot develop them. Stop giving him a pass.

I truly don’t understand what technique he’s teaching them. Will Campbell never looked like a dominant run blocker at LSU but looks fine in the NFL. I wonder if it has something to do with RPOs and not wanting to get downfield but then I feel like the RPO has been non-existent this season so far.

Probably because he was made the interim and was needed in that transition period.

This dumb take again. Our run game sucked because our RBs lacked vision.

Stopwith this HORRIBLE take

I think your post prior to this sums it up pretty definitively. RPO etc is just thinking about it too hard.

LSU should be able to push LaTech’s shite in from 5 yards out with 3 downs even with the most basic of run plays & telling them the gap before the snap.

It looks the same every year. Even when he had good results it was really propped up by generational QBs with uncanny pocket presence like Burrow/Daniels. Run blocking has just been bad his entire tenure.

They couldn't run block when Jayden Daniels was here either. Most of the runs he made were not by design. He's definitely a problem and needs to go at this point. Said it before the season if LSU doesn't make the playoffs it will be because of Sloan and Davis. BK doesn't get a pass but he's going nowhere so it's kinda pointless to even mention him at this point. He's definitely accountable.

This is a BK problem more than anything. He needs a yes man at OC and Sloan is that. This is not a program where you get to learn with training wheels. These are the guys he wants and that's what he gets. Neither Davis or Sloan is a good fit for this program. Everyone but BK can see this. Sloan is not an OC. Plain and simple. He's at his best average.

BK had to take the play calling sheet away from him last year in our run of being terrible. Nuss is going to look terrible as long as he's thinking about his OL blocking. No run game = easy pressure for a QB who doesn't scramble for yards. It's a trickle effect into what you saw last night. We are in serious trouble right now if they don't find a fix soon.
